My son and I had a fantastic day on the water fishing with Captain John and his mate that day, Captain Rick! The weather was perfect, and the waters were calm. We met at the boat at 5:30 am and were on our way shortly thereafter.  The Captain provided everything we needed, all we had to bring were some drinks, snacks and a lunch. 
Both men were very knowledgeable fishermen and great coaches offering insights and tips to to ensure we had a awesome experience. Captain John kept us on fish throughout the trip and we caught a lot of fish.  The highlight being the big Trigger my son was able to land which we had for dinner that evening along with some Mingo / Vermillion Snapper. This is our first time fishing with Captain John of Johnny Wahoo Charters, but I would recommend him and most definitely fish with him again!

My husband and son recently did the 8 hour off shore trip with Captain John and they had a blast. The booking process was very simple due to Captain John’s quick response and thorough communication. In the days leading up to the trip, he reached out to insure they knew what to bring and he understood what they would he comfortable with, confirmed times and location etc.  On the day of, they had a great time!  From catching the baitfish to fighting a shark (that they didn’t get in), they were constantly on the fish. Their haul included Amber Jack, Almaco Jack, Red Snapper, and Triggers. The best part was that they made my 8 year old who can be nervous about new things feel
Comfortable and confident. It was truly a great experience for them and I’m so grateful for Captain John and his crew for making it happen. Hands down one of the best charters we’ve ever done. I highly recommend!!!

My family is from South Louisiana and enjoy fishing charters.  I have to say that our trip with Captain John was fantastic.  Our charter was a great value compared to so many others we have taken.  He is professional, knowledgeable, safe, and personable.  My wife and kids were comfortable and enjoyed the trip.  The vessel and equipment used during our trip was current, clean, and comfortable. The kids were worn out from reeling in some very nice fish and I love how they have been telling their fish stories all evening.  We went home with tons of fillets.  We targeted red snapper.  Captain John put us right on the fish and we limited out quickly with some beautiful fish.  Then he took is to several other spots where we were able to catch several other varieties including: mingos, trigger fish, amber jack, etc.  Unfortunately not all are always in season but it was a blast.  My daughter even hooked a shark and fought it on her line for 20-30 mins.  We were able to enjoy unbelievably clear blue waters and wildlife that you just don’t get to experience unless you get out there. 

My family had a blast on this trip. Everyone felt safe and comfortable at all times.  Captain John was everything you want a charter captain to be professionally but also was personable and down to earth enough to make everyone comfortable including the kids.  I will highly recommend this charter to anyone .  I included a few pictures but they really do little justice to explain just how many fish we caught.  You will not have much time to take pictures with all the action.  The memories and conversations with the wife and kids are better anyway. 

Had a great time. The Captain and first mate were fantastic. We caught a lot of fish. Captain John went above and beyond to ensure that we had every opportunity to catch fish. The first mate Rick was awesome as well. We will definitely fish with Captain John again. Highly recommend Johnny Wahoo Charter!

Had an amazing time with Captain John! He kept us on fish the whole time and we were able to catch many fish! Loved being able to use the electric reel. Can’t wait to go back again with Captain John! Amazing captain and amazing trip!
