Cabo Fishing Trip Success!

Write a 5 star review of a fishing trip I just had in cabo San Lucas on the boat “reel tequila”. We only caught one fish, a Bonito. But had a lot of fun and the crew worked hard.  We at the fish at a local restaurant.

First off, I want to commend the hardworking crew on the boat. It’s clear that they were dedicated to making sure that you had an enjoyable experience. They must have gone above and beyond to make sure that you had a great time, even if the fish weren’t biting as much as you had hoped.

It’s also great to hear that you were able to enjoy the local cuisine and dine on the fish you caught at a nearby restaurant. That’s a unique experience that not every fishing trip can offer, and it’s a testament to the quality of the fish that you caught.

Overall, I’m so pleased to hear that you had a fantastic time on your fishing trip with “Reel Tequila” in Cabo San Lucas. I just got back from an incredible fishing trip in Cabo San Lucas on the boat “Reel Tequila” and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. Even though we only caught one fish, a Bonito, I had so much fun and the crew worked so hard to make sure we had a great time.

From the moment we stepped on board, the crew was friendly and welcoming. They provided us with all the gear we needed and gave us a rundown of what to expect. They were patient with us as we tried to catch some fish and even offered us tips and tricks to help us improve our chances.

Despite only catching one fish, it was still an exhilarating experience. There’s something about being out on the water, feeling the sun on your face, and listening to the sound of the waves that is incredibly relaxing and enjoyable.

After our fishing adventure, we were able to enjoy the fish we caught at a nearby restaurant. It was so satisfying to know that we had caught our own dinner and were able to enjoy it in such a beautiful location.

Overall, I would highly recommend the “Reel Tequila” fishing trip to anyone looking for a fun and unforgettable experience in Cabo San Lucas. The crew was fantastic, the fishing was exciting, and the memories we made will last a lifetime. Five stars all around!

We arrived to the dock about a half hour before our trip was supposed to start. The Crew on Reel Tequila was already on the boat and ready to depart. They informed us that the PM fishing wasn’t as good as the morning and that Cabo in March is a slower time of year for fishing. They definitely tried their best to get us hooked up and it finally happened! My wife landed an average sized Mahi Mahi that was absolutely beautiful! We also hooked up on a marlin twice without being able to get a solid hook set. Captain Juan brought us within 50 yards of a baby whale, who was jumping out of the water and having a great time. The scenery was beautiful and there really isn’t any need to do a “sunset cruise” or “whale watching” excursion when you’re on the boat with these guys. Bathroom, food and beverages were available on the boat. To top it off, our Dorado was filleted on the way into the docks and we had a massive dinner consisting of seven different preparations of our harvest right there at the marina. Don’t forget to feed the seals all of the left over bait fish on the way into the docks, they don’t work for free and they won’t let you get a picture of them unless you offer them something fishy!

Where to start. The boat arrived early and ready to roll without delay. Everything Pancho showed us was explained thoroughly for us to be helpful on our trip. They stopped and took pictures of us by the arch and let us go up front to play Titanic lite. We hooked up the lone fish of the trip early but what a way to fill the waiting time. How about all the whales and dolphins your eyes and phones can see? Never been that close and to have that on a fishing trip, was a superb bonus. Lunch was filling and drinks were flowing too! The Captain was on it the whole time, with the marine life and us wanting pictures up front. Pancho was great and basically read our minds at every turn. Lunch, drinks, waters, pictures…he was dialed in to our needs. He prepped the fish for our dinner that night and recommended a place that, oddly enough, we loved last time in Cabo. Mr. Alexanders not only cooked the fish, they cooked it 4 different ways and the apps are crazy good as well. Live music was a nice touch to end the night. To Cabo Sportfishing company, the Captain, and my main man Pancho; the trip was “everyting” we wanted it to be and more. Best time in Cabo by far and thanks for the dinner recommendation. You’re our fishing crew from now on. Pinky promise!

We went out with Gilberto (Captain) and Andres (Deck Hand) in early December and had a great time.  Both Gilberto and Andres were great, super helpful and informative.  We trolled most of the time although we did drop lines for a short period of time.  Our trip was 5 hours.  The first 2 were pretty active with a Dorado (Mahi Mahi) and a Striped Marlin that fought like crazy.  We hooked one more marlin but he got away which was ok with us.  The back half of the trip was pretty slow, but it was a beautiful day and we really got everything we needed. 

We had our Mahi cleaned at the harbor, and although everyone said $3/pound, he cleaned ours for a tip…maybe because there wasn’t much.  We took our meat to the Tiki Hut on the other side of the harbor, and they were awesome.  They cooked our fish 6 different ways, and we were stuffed when we got out of there.  They charge a small fee per person to cook the fish.  My very favorite method was the churricanes (sushi style)...it was SO good!  We also took some fish to Gadenias for fish tacos and that was awesome as well.

We scheduled an 8 hour trip my party all got sea sick except me. We did not catch anything but the views were amazing. We got with in 20 feet of a hump back whale. Fed a couple sealions who hopped in the back of the boat on the way in. The fishing was dead not from the captain or mate trying to put us on some fish. Our group want to cut it short maybe next time. Juan the owner and Jose the captain and Jose the mate thank you guys I had a great time.
