Give Fishing Louisiana a go, and you’re in for some world-class fishing a mere 35 miles north of New Orleans, and west of the Mississippi Gulf Coast casinos. 1 Chasing Tail Charters LLC is one of the oldest and most experienced guide services on the entire northern Gulf Coast region.

You’ll be fishing aboard a custom-built 25’ Privateer Renegade center console that’s powered by a single 300 HP Yamaha engine. Thanks to a full transom with a hydraulic bracket, she is well suitable for safely running in shallow waters, and picking up speed offshore. She’s outfitted with comfortable seating, a big top for shade, dry storage, and plenty of room for up to six anglers.

Around here, you won’t need to go far to get to some of the best fishing around. Some of the species that are common angling targets are Redfish, Trout, Flounder, Tripletail, and Sheepshead. The crew will work hard to get you on the fish, and gratuity of 15-20% is customary for the deckhand.

Captain John will provide you with top of the line rods, reels, and tackle, ensuring you have the best chance at landing some big ones. You’ll need to make sure you have a Louisiana saltwater fishing license with you, and a pair of polarized sunglasses comes a long way. Lodging via a third party can be arranged if necessary. Get your game face on, and we’ll see you on the water!

We wanted to catch Red fish to take home.  A friend of mine went with me and doesn’t fish and she caught a 10 1/2 pound red and will be mounting it!  Was a fantastic trip!  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!  Already trying to plan another fishing trip with Captain J!

He cancelled our trip due to weather, then did everything possible to get us out the next day, so we ended up sharing a boat with another couple.  He put us on the fish, helped the ladies cast, brought along a first mate.  He was knowledgeable and easy to get along with.  He took us to catch some big drums at the last stop.  The boat was clean and the equipment was great.  He had lots of bait.  We met some locals the day before our trip and they all knew him, and highly recommended him as a good fisherman and a safe captain.
