Welcome to Belize Candace Fish And Reef Tours! Join Captain Joel, a local fisherman who’s been catching fish with ease since he was a child. Years ago, he learned all the hot spots and discovered a sense of joy and tranquility in sharing his experiences with others. There is nothing grander than seeing the excitement in others’ faces, that almost kid-like joy in that first catch of the day. There’s room for everyone on his boat, regardless of your fishing experience.

You’ll be fishing on a 25’ skiff boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. She’s powered by a 115 HP Yamaha engine and reaches the speed of 34 knots. Besides navigational electronics, the boat also features a cooler, tuna tubes, downriggers, a live bait tank, and spearfishing equipment.

The catch depends on the fishing grounds you prefer and the technique you choose. Amberjack and Barracuda are sure to bring a fight to the boat! The bigger the Barracuda, the bigger the fight. You can also go after Red Snapper, Yellowtail, Mutton Snapper, and Mangrove Snapper.

Getting ready is very easy - you just need to pack your sun protection. The captain will take care of your fishing licenses, equipment, snacks, and drinks. After the trip, he’ll even clean and fillet your catch, so you can take it straight to the frying pan.

    You'll fish for 3 to 4 hours. Some anchor fishing and some trolling for Snapper, Jacks, and Barracuda - all depends on the weather that day. Whatever you catch and want to take home, the crew will clean for you. If you have never fished before, they'll be more than happy to teach you and get you comfortable.

    4 Hour Trip – Night Fishing
    Low rate deposit non-refundable
    4 Hour Trip, starts at 5:00 PM
    $400
    The crew will pick you up at your dock at 5 pm. You'll go to a channel where you'll anchor and fish with chunk bait for bigger fish. The captain will get you back by 8 or 9 pm and clean the fish that you want to take home. If you have never fished before, now is the right time to learn.

    8 Hour Trip – Fishing/BBQ
    Low rate deposit non-refundable
    8 Hour Trip, starts at 8:00 AM

    The crew will pick you up at the dock closest to where you are staying. All fishing equipment will be prepared in advance. Then the fishing starts! Depending on the weather, the guide will decide where's best to fish! Most days, they do anchor fish and trolling for Snapper, Jack, or Barracuda. You'll fish for 2 to 3 hrs or on until you catch enough for lunch. The crew will take you to the reef, where you can snorkel and look for conch and lobster (When in season).

    8 Hour Trip, starts at 8:00 AM
    $550
    The captain will come ready with all fishing gear and live bait or chunk bait. Then, depending on the weather, you can do a different kind of fishing, such as anchor fishing, trolling, or bottom fishing across the reef for bigger fishes. At the end of the trip, if you would like to take home some or all of your catch, the crew can clean it for you. They also provide water, sodas, and rum punch. If you have never fished before, they'll be more than happy to teach you and get you comfortable.

Fishing and tour guiding initially came as a means for survival. But it quickly became a passion of mine, a means to escape the turmoil life gives you. As a young boy, I started tagging along with fishermen that knew the seas of San Pedro like the back of their hands. It eases the burden of daily life struggles. It’s not only a job but more of a passion and gratifying experience; it’s an escape. My absolute favorite catches are Snapper and Grouper for grilling & Jack & Barracuda for fishing.
