The trip was cut short due to weather. This is understandable, you can’t control the weather. I was happy we were still able to get on the water. Captain Kurt was excellent at keeping us dry on the way back after the wind picked up with the storm off to the west. We only caught 1 spot red keeper but was getting a lot of bites, especially my wife. She was a little nervous about going in the first place because she gets seasick. Captain Kurt was very pleasant and made her feel welcome and calm and she never once got queasy. She was still smiling when we got back and really enjoyed herself the whole time. We plan on doing it again when we return next year.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our afternoon fishing trip with Captain Kurt and his best fishing pal, his beautiful dog Darla (Darla’s pup-sitter cancelled on him and Kurt texted me to ask if it was ok if she came along on our fishing trip, we are dog-people and welcomed the addition of a four-legged fishing partner - and she was a lot of fun to have on our trip). Capt took us to a great fishing spot and we caught some really nice fish. Capt was east to talk with and we share a lot of the same interests. By the end of the day we felt as though we had know him and Darla for years.

Thank you Capt for a wonderful day and the highlight of our vacation! We look forward to coming back time and again to fish with you and Darla! And thank you for your service to our country! May God bless you in all that you do!

My son and I went on an evening shark fishing trip with Kurt and his good girl Darla. We had an awesome time! We got a hit right away that broke the line, but soon after my son pulled in a 3ft shark! It put up a good fight and my son was thrilled! The weather and sunset were perfect. Captain Kurt was so knowledgeable and kind. So many interesting stories and we learned about the land. We felt super safe being with a former Marine and Darla. Darla is so well trained and was a bonus to have with us! Perfect night! Thank you Kurt!!

Had an absolute blast fishing with Captain Kurt. He was professional and very experienced. His easygoing attitude and wealth of knowledge about fishing the Lowcountry made for a fun and successful trip. We hooked some redfish, whiting, and even a couple of surprise stingrays. Best of all, Captain Kurt recommended a great local restaurant that turned our catch into some great fish tacos. Needless to say, I’ll definitely book another outing with Captain Kurt and Aqua Excursions.

From start to end, the whole experience was great. Captain Kurt worked everything in his toolbox to get us fish. He was very personnable and helpful with tips and tricks on how to catch the fish. On top of a great fishing trip we were even able to see several dolphin throughout the day. So even if the fishing is slow you will still have an amazing time out on the water. I would definitely recommend taking a trip with Kurt and enjoying time with family or friends.
