Divergent Fishing Charters (VA)

Based out of Saluda, Virginia, Divergent Fishing Charters offers fun and enjoyable fishing trips in the Northern Neck Region, serving Lancaster, Middlesex, and Gloucester Counties. You and Captain Doug Goodman will be exploring rivers, inshore, and nearshore waters and have fun as you chase various fish species that roam these waters. The captain can pick you up and return you to Grey’s Point and Beth Page Campground at your request. Come aboard and have a memorable time on the water with Divergent Fishing Charters!

You’ll start your trip on a 26’ Pathfinder bay boat that can accommodate up to 4 anglers. It’s powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine and uses GSP, a fishfinder, radio, as well as a radar for safe and fast navigation. The boat’s got a flybridge, wireless trolling motor, and an ice-box. The onboard fishing gear includes a fighting chair, livewell, as well as outriggers. Aboard will also be a first mate to give you any assistance you may need.

You can fish the beautiful Rappahannock River, Chesapeake Bay, as well as go nearshore and experience the Atlantic Ocean. The species you’ll target include Cobia, Atlantic Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Whiting, and Black Drum. In order to catch them, you can troll, bottom fish, spin, jig, and pop, using light and heavy tackle. You’re free to keep all the fish you catch as well as to bring along kids on your trip.

The captain will supply you with the tackle, live bait, fishing license, and will also clean and fillet your catch.

Come to Saluda and create lovely memories on the water together with Divergent Fishing Charters.

Captain Doug Goodman has been exploring his love of fishing for over 35 years and he's got the knowledge to prove it. He's been a USCG captain since 2015, but he started fishing much earlier and his passion only grew over time. Not only does Capt. Doug know how to put you on the fish, but he's also very pleasant and every trip with him is a joy you'll want to repeat.
