We met Cynthia at the dock near Thaisa II and left quickly.  Nell and Gregory were polite and pleasant.  We caught a Mahi Mahi within 15 minutes, but sadly this was the only bite of the day.  We cruised out to the fishing ground, circled it, then returned back to the dock.

Nell filleted our Mahi Mahi and let us pose for photos.

Two complaints were that Cynthia, though we had pre-discussed that I would pay the balance of the bill by credit card multiple times, including at the time of departure, did not bring the credit card machine to let us pay the balance when we returned and demanded payment in cash.  Additionally, Nell and Gregory seemed very disgruntled at their tip ($10 apiece), but with 1 fish caught and 0 additional bites, plus the issue with the credit card (although it was not their fault, they were a little curt when I asked them to call Cynthia to ask about the credit card), I felt that was fair on a 4 hour, $350 charter.

Overall, we had fun and would certainly recommend Thaisa!

Booking process went well.  The directions to the boat were not helpful except for the part about the Renasance Hotel.  May I suggest that the directions be changed to directly across the street from the Hotel.  We found it and the crew already there when we arrived early.

We were barely out of the marina when the first line went into the water.  The other three followed quickly and efficiently. There was no action for the first hour then a strike and a hooked fish.  My son had a great, but tiring time reeling in a Mahi Mahi.  Beautiful fish I would say was about three feet long and a georgeous yellow.  I got a couple of pictures as he brought it to the boat.  An unfortunate miss with the gaff caused the fish to dissappear into the beautiful blue ocean.  The next hour brought a couple of bites and then hooking of a four foot Wahoo.  My son-in-law hauled it in and it ended up in the box.  It flopped around in there for a while before quieting down.  Greg, the 1st mate was very excited about the fish as they had not been biting for some time.  We did not get another bite the rest of the morning.  Just as we were pulling in the final line, just outside the harbor, we hooked another fish.  I got to pull this one in and it was a nice grouper.  Again Greg was very excited, as he had told us we were not even fishing for grouper.  Back at the dock we had many spectators looking at our bounty.  Greg gutted the grouper for a later grilling.  He also cut out 13 steaks from one side of the Wahoo.  We took those and the grouper and left the other side of the Wahoo for Cindy,Greg and the Captain.  That put smiles on their faces.

We grilled some of the Wahoo and the grouper for dinner that night.  OMG nevr had fish this good!  Fresh fish tacos were to die for.  Had fis sandwiches the next day and fish tacos again that night.  Next day with the left over wahoo we made wahoo salad (like tunafish salad) only so much better.

Had a great time.  Love catching and then eating the fish.  Wonderful way to spend the morning.  Recommend this to everyone.
