These waters are known for Chinook Salmon, White Bass, Lake Trout, Walleye, Northern Pike, Coho Salmon, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Smallmouth Bass, and more – with any luck, it won’t take long to hook into some. For these species, you’re likely to troll.

You’re welcome to bring home any fish you catch, assuming they meet regulations.

If you’re traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. Also, remember to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

You’ll step aboard an 18’ Lund aluminum fishing with room for 2 passengers. It comes with downriggers and all the essentials. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures.

Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

A few items you’ll want to bring include bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but be sure to let the captain know if you wish to bring your own.

Captain Mike Attard is the owner and founder of Angler’s Edge Fishing Charters. He’s been fishing his whole life and ever since a young age he's been very passionate about the preservation of aquatic ecosystems. He studied wildlife conservation for 5 years and has devoted most of his life towards finding ways he can contribute to the safeguard of our natural environment. This is why he prefers catch and release and loves educating kids about the importance of sustainable fishing practices. Other than running charters on Lake Ontario, Capt. Mike also competes in several fishing tournaments each year and has placed 1st and 2nd a couple of times. But his number 1 passion is taking people out on the water and showing them a great time.
