Discover the hidden wonders of the Forgotten Coast with Spin Drift Charters and get ready for an incredible journey! Your guide for the day, Captain Justin Fritz, is a tournament-winning angler with over 10 years of experience in guiding throughout Florida. His guests consider him as a great host who enjoys sharing his love for fishing with others.
Captain Justin has a vast knowledge of feeding and migration patterns as well as which seasons are the best for chasing each species. Having acquired enough experience, understanding this area has become second nature to him. Nothing makes him happier than transferring that passion to new anglers and having them hook their first big fish.
You’ll depart from Destin, aboard an 18’ 9” Egret flats boat. Her shallow draft makes her perfect for stalking skinny waters, giving you an ideal flats fishing experience. She’s equipped with a fishfinder, top-quality Shimano gear, 3 livewells, lures, flys, flyrods, and bait casters. Each trip accommodates 3 guests and they can fish at the same time. The boat runs on a 175 HP Evinrude engine and features a wireless trolling motor and an ice-box.
Your main targets for the day are Redfish, Trout, big Jack Crevalle, and, giving the season, Tarpon. These species are extremely popular due to their elusiveness and are fun to catch for anglers of all ages and skill levels. The captain has professional cameras as well to capture those fun moments.
You’ll also be able to target various other species, such as Snapper, Flounder, Pompano, Bluefish, and Ladyfish. Their size will provide the kids with loads of fun chasing them. This makes it the perfect opportunity for young ones to build their confidence!
The fishing techniques you can use are spinning, jigging, popping, and fly fishing. You get to keep all the fish you catch.
Captain Justin provides everything from fishing gear to snacks and drinks to licenses.
