Capt. Shad’s Coastal Charters invites you to join it for a memorable day on the rich and beautiful waters around Calabash, North Carolina. You and Captain Shad Barfield will search the area’s inshore grounds well-known for their productive fisheries.

Captain Shad is a proficient angler and he knows how to make your trip the best possible. Join him and have a memorable fishing experience in Calabash!

Your journey will start on a restored 23’ Triton center console, a comfy boat that can take up to 4 guests. It’s powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine, uses GPS, fishfinder, and radio technology for navigation, and is equipped with outriggers and downriggers. The boat’s got a private toilet, an ice-box to store your fish and drinks, and there’s also a livewell.

There a huge choice of fish to target around Calabash. Flounder, Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Blacktip Sharks are just a few. You’ll catch them on both light and heavy tackle and you can keep all your catch and take home if you wish to. Feel free to bring kids on the trip as well.

Captain Shad takes care of the rods, reels, tackle, live bait, lures, as well as fishing licenses, and will even clean and fillet your catch for free. What you should bring on your trip is just the food and drinks of your choice.

Captain Shad has been fishing the Carolina coasts his entire life! It all started when he was barely old enough to hold a rod. At 18, he joined the Coast Guard and traveled all around the US' coastlines. His time in the Coast inGuard made him realize just how amazing his native Carolina coasts are. As a result, he decided to choose a career that would allow him to introduce others to the splendor of the Carolinas and catch fish along the way. Captain Shad's vast experiences working as a captain and a first mate on various model-makes and styles of boats provide him with a firm foundation as a charter boat captain to ensure you a safe and productive trip.

Customers can cancel or modify their booking up to 3 days before the trip date free of charge. If the trip is canceled or modified later, or in the event of a no-show, 100% of the deposit will be charged.
