Chac Chi Marina specializes in showing guests just how enjoyable the beautiful waters of the Caribbean can be. A well-established business, they have something for everyone. And fishing aboard the “Happy Ours,” everyone will be able to make the most of their time on the water.
Happy Ours is a 38 ft Blackfin boat. Blackfin is known for making excellent sportfishing vessels, and this one is no exception. Powered by twin 450 HP engines, this is a very fast boat that cuts through the seas with style and ease. Inside, you will find a very comfortable living area, a bedroom, and a bathroom for your comfort, and the boat features all the gear you need for an exciting sportfishing experience, including Penn International rods, outriggers, downriggers, two fishing chairs, a fishfinder, GPS, and a VHF radio.
Captain Jorge Alonzo has been fishing these waters for over seven years and knows the best spots to find fish out of Cancun. Whether you want to troll for fish such as Sailfish, White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo, or go bottom fishing for delicious species such as Snappers, Groupers, and Trigger fish, he and his crew will make sure you have the right bait or lure to catch your target fish. Fishing in the local area is seasonal, but Happy Ours’ crew knows the best places to fish, whatever the time of year.
Chac Chi Marina supplies sodas, beers, bottles of water, bait, ice, and fishing licenses for you, so all you have to think about is having a good time. Just remember to bring $5 per person as a dock fee, and some extra money for a tip for the mate.
Round trip transportation between your hotel and the marina can be arranged, with the price depending on the distance and number of people traveling.
