Captain Maryann and First Mate Sean are really awesome people and are also very good fishing guides.  If we hadn’t caught a single fish, we still would have had a great day on the water with them.  They are patient, professional, and took the time to teach us to fish with a variety of techniques.  We had not fished in the keys previously.  I am so glad that we booked a 3/4 day trip.  It gave us plenty of time to fish for Yellowtail Snapper and then troll for larger fish.  We managed to bring in 3 really nice sized barracuda, several, beautiful bonita, a couple of cero mackerel, a hard fighting, big king mackerel that make several runs & then managed to get away just short of the boat, and the yellowtail as well.  If we make it back to the Keys in the future, we will definitely be giving MaryAnn a call to schedule another fishing trip!

It was My 2 daughters and my wife’s birthday week. One of my daughter (in the Cost Guard) was temporarily stationed down in the keys during her birthday so we decided to drive from St Pete to Key West to Help Celebrate her birthday and she wanted to go fishing, so we booked with Boa Vida. When we met our crew, they greeted use with a smile, then took our beverages, snacks and put them in their cooler witch was great because nobody wants warm beer and warm chicken sandwich’s. Sean gave us a quick rundown of the days event and we set off.  Now the ride was a little rough because of the previous day weather and water was a little cloudy so our captain (Sean) did his very best to help us catch some fish. He tried going to different spots and trolling for about 2 and 1/2 hrs with no luck, so I was starting to think we were going back empty handed. But our Captain and first mate (Jason) was having none of that. They found us a spot and chummed the water. Jason bated a hook and gave the rod to Andrea my son-in-law to cast, Jason started beating the second rod for Afeiyah my daughter, Andrea caught a fish, Then Afeiyah casted out as Jason was taking the fish of the hook Afeiyah caught one and that’s how it was for about 15 minutes until I got a rod and casted in. In the span of 30 minutes, we caught over 40 yellow tail snapper we took home 36 as a few were too small and had to throw back. The Team at Boa Viad made sure we had fun, made us feel welcome and that this birthday week was memorable. At the end of our trip the crew fillet and cleaned our catch. Maryann came out to see how things went OfCourse it went well.  Thank you and we will see you in October.

Great captain and crew dedicated to making sure we had a great time. Boat was clean and comfortable and had plenty of water for us. They filleted the fish for us and let us use the scraps to feed the tarpon by the docks.

From a 9 year old - Very good and caught lots of fish. Excited to eat the fish tonight at the restaurant they recommended to us that will prepare it.

We did a 3/4 day, and were catching pretty much nonstop the whole time. Wide variety of species. We caught our limit in yellowtail, caught a large king mackerel and numerous nice groupers. My 9 year-old son caught a goliath grouper in the 250-300 lb range that was the highlight of the trip!

With any fishing trip it can be difficult to catch fish. With this trip we caught our limit on fish. The CPT (Maryann) and Crew (Sean) were great very personable people who know and understand the water and its currents and kept a fish on line the whole time of the trip. Very knowledgeable of all fish. My family and I have been on a few fishing trips here in the keys and this was the best. I would recommend this crew anytime and when we return we will use them again.
