Top quality instruction on presentation/method, fishing and boat equipment, and A+ experience! Capt. Dan mentioned a time he was on them almost every cast — and sure enough we eventually got to that spot and hit 15 fish in 17 casts on lures. Got a mix of speckled sea trout, lady fish, and my first snook — all fantastic fights on light tackle. 🎣

Don’t hold the 4-star overall experience rating against this charter. Captain Dan warned us beforehand that it wouldn’t be the best day fishing with the post-Ian muck, 20mph winds and long idle from a Cape Coral boat ramp (Fort Myers boat ramps were still a mess).  We declined his offer to cancel or reschedule.

Captain Dan said we could expect some speckled trout and we were able to catch a few of those for the freezer.  The redfish caught was an inch too short to keep.  Would’ve liked one of those.  The limited catch aside, Captain Dan was great!  He was waiting for us with his Maverick HPX in the water and there were a number of rods rigged with various surface poppers.  He was a great help with technique to both of us and my fiancé had never fished before!

I plan to book this charter again.

So I have fished from Alaska to Hawaii to Panama to the Keys.
I don’t have time to fish much anymore, so I use a guide.
I fished two 3/4 day trips with Captain Bob.
Some guides are good boaters who fish.  Captain Bob is a good fisherman.
It was Augest.so not the best month to fish. too hot .
Still, we caught maybe 20-25 snook; 40-50 trout; 4-5 redfish.
And hooked a rather large tarpon on my final cast…we weren’t set up for tarpon so he threw the hook.
The boat is small but immaculate and set up for fishing.
The captain is a “people” person, so it was pleasant.
I think this trip is good for anybody and best for a fisherman with a child who want to learn to fish.

My son and I had an awesome time.  Daniel took us to several different locations.  We fished with live bait, lures, and moved around to find different kinds of fish.  Daniel had fantastic knowledge of the area and made it a lot of fun.  Enthusiastically recommend!

Captain Dan is a great guy. Laid back and super knowledgeable. It was my wife’s birthday, (which she shared with the Captain as it was his as well) and we did the 6 hour trip. Got into some sea trout on some top water lures right away. We have always used live bait so this was new and exciting. My wife also caught a nice snook which really made her happy. No redfish this trip but we tried. Looking forward to going with Dan again in the winter months when we’re not facing an incoming hurricane!! Book your trip. You won’t regret it.
