Gon Get’Em Guide Service
Gon Get’Em Guide Service invites you for a terrific day on the fish-rich waters of Matagorda, Texas! Come along with Captain Fern Gonzales and hit the inshore grounds, rivers, and flats around Matagorda to chase various species that dwell in the area. The captain’s experience and easygoing personality will make your trip successful and enjoyable, so pick a day that suits you and pay him a visit at Gon Get’Em Guide Service!
To reach the desired fishing spots, you’ll be using a restored 24’ Explorer bay boat. It sits up to 4 guests, runs on a 250 HP Mercury engine with a maximum cruising speed of 45 knots, and uses modern GPS electronics that will help you stay on the right course all the time. The boat’s also got a livewell to provide you with live bait.
You and the captain will head out to target Flounder, Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Black Drum, and you’ll use jigging, popping, and drift fishing to catch them, all using light tackle. The fish you catch is yours to keep but you’re free to release it if you want to. Children are welcome to come aboard, so bring them as well and make your trip even better.
Before you depart, make sure to bring your fishing licenses and some food, and the captain will take care of everything else.
Come visit Gon Get’Em Guide Service and have a wonderful day of fishing in Matagorda!
