Atlantida Punta Cana - The Reef
About this listing
Custom Design AP yacht (Center console) originally built in 2015. Powered by a 85HP Yamaha engine with a maximum cruising speed of 22 knots.
Spend some quality time outdoors with your family or friends on an inshore fishing trip with Atlantida Punta Cana. Inshore fishing aboard The Reef is an affordable and enjoyable way to see the best of what the area’s natural resources have to offer, giving you the opportunity to drift across the calm, crystal clear waters that are home to a variety of fish who are there for the plucking.
The Reef is a custom designed center console boat that was built specifically for charter fishing in Punta Cana in 2015. Featuring a T-top for shade and providing plenty of space for up to four anglers, the boat may be the smallest member of Anthony Perez’s fleet, but it has a big heart. It is fitted with a Yamaha engine as well as a range of marine electronics including a fishfinder and shore to boat communication, meaning it can take you to the best fishing spots quickly, accurately, and safely.
Your experienced local captain will work hard to put you on the fish, covering different areas to find the best place to catch fish such as Snapper, King Mackerel, Skipjack Tuna, Snook, Tarpon, and more. If you’re interested in travelling slightly further out, why not take a dedicated Mahi Mahi trip and try your hand at hooking this colorful and delicious game fish for yourself?
Top quality equipment is used on board, with braided lines and Shimano reels supplied for everyone to use. All the equipment, bait, lures and permits you will need for inshore fishing are included in the price of the trip, so all you have to do is come along and enjoy the day!
30% deposit charged upfront by FishingBooker to guarantee your reservation. The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the captain on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods: Cash, Bank Transfer, PayPal.

The trip fell considerably short of my expectations regarding targeted species,I phoned the owner of the company 3 days prior to the trip as requested, just to outline what I was after,he didn’t for-see any problems. However when I arrived at the quayside the guide taking me out spoke very little English and was not the person I spoke to initially..I set up my Fly rod and spinning rod,and we proceeded to motor about 150yds from the harbor,with-in 5 mins we saw a pair Tarpon which looked promising however they weren’t interested in anything. We then went in search of Bone fish outside the harbor but if became obvious to me that the shallows were very cloudy for whatever reasons and the chances of catching anything here were nil.
After trying for an hour (i don’t know why i bothered !)we left and went trolling where by my guide hooked 3 small reef dwellers about 8ozs each.Communication was very minimal an advise was nil.We arrived back at the dock at exactly the time the trip was to end .On a brighter note the Taxi driver was very humerus and on time.
Fishing is a very variable sport and we do not expect to catch all of the time however I did expect a little bit more for my 380 dollars for my 3 hours !.Punta Carna

It was the best time on my vacation. I enjoy fishing but it was more than that. Spectacular views , our captain was super friendly and when we got back Anthony was there. Also a friendly person enjoyed his talks. I will definitely book again next time I go. It’s a must !!!!!!

Overall start to finish a very good experience. Anthony is quick to return e-mails and calls to get everything set up. Very organized. Guide put me on a good number of fish - yellow tail, grouper, amberjack, and snapper. Only thing I would recommend is to take some pictures with your own phone/camera - guide took all the pics with his phone, but waterproof protector that phone was in made the pics not as bright/clear as they could have been. That was the only minor issue, so I recommend highly.
