Fischon Charters
If you want to fish or cruise out of the Avalon area, join Fischon Charters! Captain Chris Farschon will set you up for an enjoyable day on the water aboard the Fischon. He’s been fishing and boating in South Jersey for over 25 years. Capt. Chris’s specialties are nearshore and offshore ocean fishing. Experienced and novice anglers are all welcome!
Come aboard the Fischon, a 25’ Carolina Classic, recently updated and repowered with twin 300 HP Yamaha outboards. The boat is equipped with all USGC required and some additional safety items (pfd’s, radios, radar, EPIRB, vaccinated Captain, full cleaning between trips, etc.), a full weather enclosure, and cuddy cabin with a porta potty. She is an extremely sturdy and safe craft that can whisk you to and from the fishing grounds with speed and ease. For 2022 we added a spot lock trolling motor that increases the fishing time over wrecks.
When it comes to fish species you can catch, Tog and Stripers are best in the spring and fall, Sea Bass and Bluefish most of the year, Flounder all summer, and various ocean pelagic fish most of the summer season. Trips range from about 4 hours to extended days and cover the back bays (smooth water) to the nearshore and offshore ocean (condition dependent). Just ask about times and places to fish and your captain will be happy to craft a trip for you.
Each trip is customizable to suit your needs and goals. You can bring your lucky rod if you like, but do remember to bring your food, drinks, camera, and appropriate clothes for the season. Please no aerosol sunscreen or bug repellent (creams are preferred). All tackle, bait, and fishing knowledge are included with every trip.
Your trip is all about your enjoyment and Fischon Charters is happy to share (or listen to) tips and techniques to help you catch more fish and have a great time!
