Open Boat Fishing – Atlanta

Once you step aboard the customized Ranger Bay boat, you will know you are in good hands. Modern electronics, first-class gear, and The supercharged Mercury Verado will get you to the fishing grounds quickly and safely. This boat was designed and built for fishing coastal bays worldwide. It provides a smooth ride in Lanier’s choppy waters with ease. 3 live bait wells often carrying over 200 baits, your bait will be in a top-notch condition without overcrowding the tank.

June thru September offers you a great opportunity for both top water action casting lures into feeding fish as they chase Lanier’s bait fish to the surface as well targeting deep water Striped Bass as they open up the turbines at Buford Dam to generate power.

No experience necessary. I will teach you everything needed to assist you in landing these heart pounding fish.

VRBO dock & Lake Lanier Islands pickup available if near fishing grounds.

All bait, tackle, rods & reels bottled water, ice & fuel included. Bean bag chairs upon request.

Angler's Choice
The Angler's Choice Award is given to listings that consistently deliver a high-quality service and earn great reviews from customers.
Open Boat Fishing Atlanta guide Jeffrey has fished the waters of Lake Lanier since 1968. His knowledge of Lanier and the behavior of it’s crop are impeccable. His customers have already boated 4 Striper 30 pounds and over in 2022 alone and several in the 20 pound range. He has owned and operated over 70 vessels on Lanier up to 90’ and has had zero accidents. A pioneer in the guide industry on Lake Lanier he has spoken at several local fishing clubs giving tips and advice to thousands of Lanier fishing enthusiasts. Jeffrey served in the USN under president Reagan and began his professional fishing career in the early 1990’s. His philosophy is to give the customers what they pay for. Fish on the deck and personal best catches for each and every client that steps on his boat. His personal best is a 42.7 pound Striper caught on a live Blue Back Herring on the Southern end of Lake Lanier.
