Spend a day on the water with your loved ones and enjoy many magical moments as you fish with Heritage Fishing Charters! From Charleston’s inshore waters to rivers to wrecks, there is much to be explored in this part of South Carolina. You’ll be under the guidance of Captain Brian Finnegan, an angler with vast experience on the water who’ll do everything to make your trip the best possible. Choose your day, book a trip, and create lovely memories on the water!
Your trip for the day will be a 24’ Tidewater bay boat that accommodates up to 6 guests. It’s powered by a 250 HP Yamaha four stroke outboard and has got GPS, fishfinder, and radio electronics used for safe movement on the water. There’s an ice-box to store your fish and a livewell to provide you with live bait.
On your trip, you can target Blacktip Shark, Flounder, Spotted Seatrout, Sheepshead, Redfish, and Black Drum. You’ll attract it by bottom fishing, spinning, jigging, and drift fishing, using both light and hard tackle. Kids are welcome to join the trip, so feel free to bring them with you and have a lovely family time together.
Your trip includes all the fishing tackle, live bait, lures, as well as fishing licenses. if you wish, Captain Brian can clean and bag your catch after the trip, free of charge. The only things you’ll need are your snacks and drinks.

Magical day on water

We booked with Captain Brian after reading his reviews. Our experience more than lived up to expectations. Our 12 year old son has been learning in surrounding small lakes in VA - being out in the ocean was a dream! Captain Brian took us to spots were the fish were biting! We did the 6 hour trip and this allowed us to make the most of different locations and catch different fish including red and black drum and weak fish. Captain Brian was knowledgeable, patient and gracious. At the end of the trip, he taught us how to properly filet the drum that we caught so we could enjoy them for dinner. A amazing day that we will treasure.

easy half day trip with lots of fish

quick and easy trip, met at 8am got to the spot and got fishing quickly. Caught trout, weakfish, bluefish, sheepshead, black sea bass, black drum, and redfish. Wife was pumped so see some dolphins and cool birds along the way. Brian directed us to a restaurant that could cook our catch after. Highly recommend if you want a quick and easy half day trip with lots of fish.

Great day fishing with Capt. Brian
Half Day Trip on June 13, 2025 • 1 adult • 2 children
Took my 12 year old son and his buddy fishing with Capt. Brian while we were in town. He was great with the boys teaching them tips and tricks (they have only fished local ponds). Captain Brian immediately put us on the fish and kept things lively, moving us to different spots when the weather was approaching and causing some chop. Overall we caught, 2 spotted trout, 1 bass, 1 stingray and 8 sharks. They had an absolute blast fighting the sharks and I would recommend anyone looking for a great charter to book with Captain Brian.

Captain Brian did an amazing job putting us on fish and showing us a great time ! We caught a ton of fish- bull reds, Black Sea bass, sharks, rays and he was extremely informative and helpful throughout the whole day. Couldn’t recommend him enough, a great captain and looking forward to going fishing again with him soon!

We had a great 4hr trip with 3 kids. each caught a couple keeper redfish, trout and bluefish. Overall a great time and the kids loved it.
