We had a great fishing trip aboard the Finatik. The day we went out the ocean was a bit on the rough side so we experienced a lot of really big swells which unfortunately made a couple of our daughters sea sick. We had planned on a 4 hour trip but asked the captain to return to the marina early. Disputes the odds we were able to land 3 good size Mahi Mahi in a little over 2 hours. The crew was attentive and did a good job cleaning the fish for us when we returned to port. The Captain personally walked us to a nearby resturant where the chef prepared and served us a fresh fish dinner that was outta this world.

Glad you enjoyed your fish.  I will pass along the compliments to the crew.  They are hard working guys.  Miguelo, Louis and Cheppie have been working on that boat together for a while and know how to get it done.

I had specifically booked on the finatic after researching their fish counts boat and reviews. Seeing they had a very high fish count average for a 4 hour trip showed me their knowledge and experience level. When we arrived on our day we were assigned to a different boat called the Big Fish… Out of all of the other boats in the fleet they had the worst fish count average for   4 how trip and it showed. I was extremely disappointed with this as we only boated 4 fish for an entire day of fishing.. The captain kept telling me that no one was catching.. When we arrived back in the marina imagine my surprise when a number of boats that only were out for 4 hours had 7 and one had 8 fish.  Overall poor experience.. Captain was terrible.. Of the 4 fish we caught we hit them around big mats of sea weed in about a span of 60 mins.  After awhile I noticed no sea weed and asked what was happening. He informed me that no one was catching so we were heading North… What were the 4 fish in the box??? I grew up fishing and when you find the fish you don’t move.. We spent the next 5 hours without a sign of a fish or knockdown..  Terrible decision.  Finally back at the dock. Captain did not want me to take the fish we caught. Kept trying to have me only take one fish… He wanted to sell them… Sorry if I spent $1,000 to fish and we only caught 4 fish. I’m keeping them. You should have stayed where we were catching.
