Beach Bum Charters invites you for a fun day of recreational fishing in Sarasota Bay! Not a good fit for the serious angler, best suited for families with or without children looking for a fun easy intro to fishing or the local angler who knows exactly the day they want to have, has a plan, and wants access to the boat, equipment, and a captain to do it. I do not offer species targeting, your trip is best described as "fishing is the excuse to get out and not the reason to be out." Catch and release only. Results are not guaranteed, but fun times and memories are!
Come fish our bountiful coastal waters and flats and relax while you watch the gorgeous nature that surrounds you. You’ll be under the guidance of Captain Tobey Morehouse on a casual and relaxing day out. Join him in Sarasota and together embark on a leisurely day of fun in the bay!
Your boat for the day will be a 21’ Hurricane deck boat that runs on a 225 HP Yamaha engine. It’s got space for up to 5 anglers and it uses fishfinder, GPS, radar, as well as radio technology for efficient navigation. There’s an ice-box you can use to store your catch and a livewell to provide live bait.
Geared more for the recreational, new, and casual fishing audience and small families, we will be using light and heavy tackle to make a day you will remember for years to come. We will do catch and release only unless other arrangements are made. Captain Tobey welcomes all the kids to his boat, so bring your whole family and enjoy a lovely outing together.
Your trip will include all the rods, reels, tackle, live bait, lures, and drinks. The captain also provides fishing licenses, just remember to bring some food before you leave.
