We booked a 3 hour trip for scup fishing with John.  He watched conditions and weather to get us the best fishing experience.  He knew the spots to haul in scup and offered us some variety while moving around the bay.  We came home with Black Sea bass, fluke and a lot of scup.  Plenty of room on the boat for anglers.  This is a great trip for kids or family that want a nice short charter to hook and bring home fish.

First time fishing in the sea and our family of 6 had a great time with John! Although we stayed in the harbor due to the wind/wave, he went out of his way to make sure we get to all the right spots. Fluke, sea bass, winter flounder, sea robin and of course scups, we got them all! He even cleaned some of them for us.  Definitely the highlight of the trip, Highly recommend!

He was awesome, and knew exactly where to take us. By far the most fish we have ever caught, and if we are ever in this area again we will call him.  My boys said it was the highlight of their trip so far.  Our freezer is completely stuffed with Scup and 4 fluke.  We will be eating it 2 days and freezing the rest to take home.  John is high class!!!!

Captain John put us on the fish right way.  He did a great job keeping the kids and our wife’s hooks baited so we could keep fishing. We kept a limit of fish and cooked a couple that night. They tasted great, better than bluefish or stripes. Everyone caught a bunch of fish and John was fun to fish with. I would book this trip again when I’m back on the Cape.
