It was a bad day for everyone fishing from Pompano to Boca Raton. No boats were catching a thing. Lacy was kind enough to extend our time together since he happened to have his afternoon available.  We stayed on the water from 7am till about noon. As we were coming in for the day to call it quits - right as we were pulling into the no wake zone we caught a fairly decent sized mackerel. He tried to go back out for a bit to see if we could catch anything else, but we didn’t. He and his son are great people. Very knowledgeable about fishing and fun to be around. It was just a bad day to catch anything.  I would go back out with them again. Maybe live bait would help?  Regardless, they get 5 stars from me.

A buddy and I booked a 6 hour charter with Captain Lacy.  The pick up spot was easy to find, the Captain was early and ready to go.

The boat was beautiful and can really haul.  There was a cooler with ice for any food/drinks that you bring.  All equipment on board was top notch.

We trolled the entire trip and had good results.  We were able to land a Skipjack Tuna and a Mahi.  We also caught two barracuda and two Kingfish, which we decided to release.  We had several fish that were certainly interested, but wouldn’t commit on this day. 

Lacey definitely gave us extra time because he did not have an afternoon charter on that day.  When we got back, our fish were fileted, bagged up and we were given ice for the fish.

I would also recommend bringing your fish to Seaside Grill in Pompano Beach if you want a restaurant that cooks your catch.  It is very close (2 mins away) from the meeting point, and they did a fabulous job preparing the fish that we caught with sides for a very reasonable price.

We had a great day with a genuinely nice guy that was very easy to get along with.  If you are looking for a sign to book this charter, this is it. 

We had an awesome experience with Captain Lacy on our fishing excursion. Although the fishing was slow, we still managed to catch a few and he tried his best to get us on to the fish. He is an amazing host, we loved listening to his stories! Provides everything you could need or want. Definitely recommend. Don’t hesitate, book the trip - you will not regret it! 🙌🏻

Capt. was awesome and super knowledgeable.  Helped us get on fish, taught us things about fishing, and was incredibly pleasant to be around.  Boat was in amazing condition and well kept.  I would 10/10 recommend this to anyone who wants to fish in south Florida and hope to be back my myself!  Finally got my first mahi on this trip!

Awesome trip. Super smooth pickup and we were fishing in no time. The boat is beautiful and Captain Lacy is a great guy. Worked very hard to make sure we caught fish and had a fun time. We caught a king fish and two sailfish. Will definitely be back!
