Capt. Eric was great with the kids and is setup well to handle them. I took my 3 kids (ages 4, 6, 8) and my dad on this charter for salmon and lake trout. On a morning where the weather varied from clear and calm to a thick fog bank rolling through with an increasing north wind to sunny and warm, Capt Eric always had an eye on safety and enjoyment for the kids while still using his knowledge of the lake fixtures and currents to get fish in the boat. We caught six different species in total: Atlantic, king, coho, lake trout, steelhead and even a few walleye. A great memory for all of us!

Smart enough to realize that you fish when the fish are awake and not the people, we headed out at 5:30am. About 9 miles off shore (guessing) we got into the spaghetti and before we could had all the lines in the water we have big lake trout and a big King Salmon. They kept coming from there. Steelhead, Trout, Walleye, more Trout. Everyone caught a few before deciding to head to calmer waters as the wind starting pushing the waves up. Headed closer to port and found a nice spot where the water was close to inverting. Banging more fishing and every one had a blast. Captain Eric runs a tight ship and you can tell he treats this like a profession (clean boat, dirty (but clean) boots. After years of boring shore fishing, this was worth every penny and more. Look forward to my next trip out. Kids already asking if we can do it again.

I could not say enough good things about our trip. We had our trip scheduled for Saturday morning. We woke up early and showed up. Once we were there we decided to postpone a day at Captain Eric’s recommendation due to wind and wave size on the lake. We had my son who was 5 on board and it would make for a long trip with the big waves rocking the boat. I really appreciated his professionalism and not trying to push the trip in the less than perfect weather. We came back the next morning and had a wonderful trip out on the water. He knew all the great spots to go and I was truly amazed at his expertise with being able to balance all the lines in the water without getting anything tangled. He was super good with both my teenage daughter and my son who is 5. Certainly help create an amazing lasting memory for myself and my kids with their papa! I would definitely go with him again and recommend him to anyone wanting to book a trip on Lake Huron!

An amazing day on the water. The Capt & His first mate are very personable, friendly, passionate fisherman that worked very hard to put us on fish. One of the nicest boats at the harbor and when the winds winds shifted it would have been unbearable but with that boat it seemed only a lil tyke rough out there but with some of our group new to fishing on the water Capt was able to take us to another part of lake going after salmon. What a great day fishing!
