G’day Brad Smith here, or “Smithy” as I am best known in the industry. For over 20 years I have been working as a full time professional fishing guide, which makes me South East Queensland’s and Northern New South Wales’ longest serving guide.
My introduction to fishing as with most anglers started at a very young age and being born and bred in the local area with it’s abundance of waterways provided me the perfect foundation for learning the acquired angling skills that I have obtained to this day.
The journey through the fishing industry has provided me with opportunities that include recreational and commercial fishing activities right through to media presentations including television, radio, and journalism careers. Another natural progression in my career has been the opportunity to be one of the pioneers in the development of both angling equipment and advanced techniques learnt by spending a lifetime on the water.
Above all the commitments that I have in this industry my overriding passion has always been to pass on my specialist experience to all anglers and teaching people of all ages and angling abilities the correct techniques required to catch all of our local estuary species on a variety of different lures is my trademark.
The major reason why my charter operation is so unique and has gained such a high reputation is that there are no other charter operators that GUARANTEE YOU WILL CATCH FISH ON LURES OR YOU DON’T PAY while once again learning the techniques on how to do so.
I am still as excited as I was in the beginning of my charter operation to share a day on the water with you.
