HunkerDown Charters is located in Jacksonville Beach and offers to show you a memorable time in these waters.
Capt. Blake will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 4 to 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Flounder, Speckled Trout, Cobia, King Mackerel and Snapper, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, fly fishing, big game fishing, jigging, popping and spinning.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 24' Skeeter boat that can safely take up to 5 anglers. This boat comes with an ice box and teolling motor trolling motor.
Your trip will include all the necessary gear and fishing licenses for the day. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. The boat will be supplied with snacks and drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions.

3/4 Day Trip – Nearshore on March 19, 2026 • 2 adultsWe booked a father/son fishing trip with Captain Blake, and even though the weather didn’t exactly cooperate—cold and windy—it turned into one of the most memorable days we’ve had. Captain Blake put us on the fish despite the conditions, and the action stayed steady. We ended the trip with a great catch, but more importantly, my son had an incredible time. Watching him battle through the cold, stay locked in, and reel in fish after fish made me proud. It wasn’t the easiest day on the water, but honestly, that’s what made it special. Captain Blake kept things fun, positive, and productive the whole time. If you’re looking to make real memories with your kids, I can’t recommend this enough.

He took us to many different spots ensuring that we caught quite a few fish from a variety of species. Black drum, red drum and snapper to name a few. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and will be booking with him again.

Blake was a great guide and the boat and fishing gear were excellent. We chartered a 6 hour trip and Blake put us on some good fish. We caught a lot of fish and variety of fish that included some large Redfish! I will definitely be chartering another trip with Blake and HunkerDown Charters.

Half Day Trip – Inshore on November 1, 2022 • 3 adultsThis was an amazing trip. Captain Blake took us to great spot. Each spot we stopped at someone had something on the line. He showed us the best way to fish and we had great catches. We were taught how to properly cast and best way to fish at each spot. He even took a little extra time for us to see dolphins. Already excited to book again.

Half Day Trip – Inshore on April 10, 2022My buddy and I had a great time with captain Blake. I came down from Pennsylvania to visit my buddy and we wanted to do some fishing. He put us on some great fish. I definitely recommend going out with captain Blake if you want to have a great day on the water.

We had booked an 8a.m boat trip. Capt Blake contacted us and gave us the option of going in the afternoon because the fishing would be better. He was friendly, professional, very knowledgeable on where to go to catch fish. He instructed our grandson on the skills of fishing and showed him how to filet fish. We caught over 12 fish. We highly recommend him and hope to go fishing with him again.
my son and I had a great insbire trip with Blake. He is very friendly and he explaines everything in detail. it was an unseasonally cold day and he had to tey so many spots until we went to a spot with a lot of hungry fish (Reds and Trouts). Enjoyed the nature, conversation and catch and release of many many fish. I would definitely recommend captain Blake to any family.

Captain Blake was very knowledgeable and very patient with those of us new to fishing. We caught far more fish than expected and were very pleased with the entire experience. Hopefully we'll be chartering with him again in the future and highly recommend him.
