The boat you’ll use is a restored 24’ fiberglass locally-made classic boat powered by a 55 HP Yamaha engine. It can fit 4 guests, uses VHF radio for navigation, and has got a livewell to provide live bait. It also features an ice box with ice so you can store your catch.
You and the captain will be targetting Peacock Bass, White Seabass, Tilapia, Jack Crevalle, and Snook by trolling, spinning, and popping on light tackle. You’re welcome to keep the fish you catch as well as bring kids on your trip.
Captain Miguel provides standard fishing rods, reels, and tackle along with lures and/or minnows. You’re welcome to bring your own equipment, just tell the captain before the trip. In that case, know that poppers for Peacock Bass work fine. You’re also covered for licenses, so just bring any snacks and drinks you want.
The taxi / Uber from your hotel to the Gamboa public dock shouldn’t cost more than $30 and it lasts for 45 minutes, so make sure you leave your hotel in time. If needed, I can also organize the transport for you with a third-party company as of $100 total.
