Will was nothing short of providing a spectacular experience. This was our first trip (not out last) with ocean fishing. We had two adults and two 13 year olds.  His costs were in line with his competition and he was flexible with us on a last minute change.

Will was very helpful in teaching us the right techniques and was patient as well. His knowledge of the waters was evident and he found fish at every stop. We caught some pretty nice size fish and variety as well. Once back, he cleaned and cut the fish up for us to take home for dinner.

This was our first charter and first experience fishing in the ocean. Captain Will picked us up at the Isla Marina at 85920 Overseas Highway in Islamorada at 700. Using a casting net in the harbor and nearby reef, he collected Ballyhoo bait fish until a little past 800AM. We went deep sea bottom fishing at depths over 220 ft and caught 2 Mutton Snapper, 1 Red Snapper, 1 Bonito Tuna, 1 Grouper, 1 Porgy, and 2 Reef Sharks. We had two lines that went to the bottom and one that drifted near the surface. The latter did not get any bites. We got back at the Isla Marina at 1300 and Captain Will cleaned the three keepers. We were hoping to fish for Mahi-Mahi and Tuna and try our luck at the hump. When we found out we were bottom fishing, it was a minor let-down. But my son had a good time. I was glad to have the experience with him and fun watching him reel in the fish. Captain Will grew up in the keys, knows the area, and is an experienced fisherman. Nice young man always kept the lines wet and would try another spot if the fish were not biting. Overall, a good experience!

The trip started off slow as Captain Will was having a hard time catching bait, it just did not want to cooperate. High winds made it very rough as well, but he did not give up and we ended up making a long run further out and started catching several tuna. I believe it was far from ideal conditions, but we had a great time and would definitely go with Captain Will again.

Captain Will put our group of four on the fish for the first four hours with constant action, respectful and friendly captain that readily helped all guests with lines and bait, we caught;  Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Yellow Tail, Triple Tail, Mutton Snapper, Grey Snapper and Red Grouper. The last two hours we spent catching over 2 dozen lobster.  Best charter I’ve ever been on. We will use Captain Will again.

Captain Will? More like captain BEAST! Not only was Will knowledgeable and put us on fish almost immediately, but he was also a pleasure to speak with during our charter. When fishing for mangrove and yellowtail, he had us use tail pieces for bait and we absolutely crushed it! We caught enough fish for the rest of our trip and absolutely loved the experience overall. If he’s available, book him now!!
