My 9 year old and I went for a salmon trip, however the weather did not want to cooperate unfortunately.  Capt Steve was great and offered a better solution then getting tossed around by the swells outside the bay. We ended up going back into the bay for a day of halibut fishing, which my son could not have been more thrilled about.

The gear was set up for salmon fishing, (trip we originally booked) so a bit hard for the younger ones to manage alone but with some parental guidance and help(along with Capt Steve’s), it worked out great.

Okay folks here it is:
If you want to catch fish you’ll want to go out with Barbarossa Fishing! Captain Steve put each of us on fish (6) everyone in the boat took fish home! We fished from the golden Gate Straight, to Alcatraz Island, to Berkeley Flats, over to Treasure Island, then we went and fished near the Alameda Rock Wall and OAK Airport. Finally we fished in the South San Francisco Bay to end our day!!!
Please folks rather than fishing with the rest take my advice and fish with the the best Captain Steve Gutierrez and Deadliest Kast Fishing you will not be disappointed!!!

We had a brilliant day on the water. The lads had very well thought out everything, and they were really obsessed about making us catching as much fish as possible. CPT Steven had very good knowledge of local waters and tides, and both him and deckhand Trevor literally worked their a## off to make our life as easy as possible. The fishing was relatively slow in the bay, no one was really catching much, but the guys have absolutely put their best foot down. These sort of people are the reason you should always go for small businesses!

Captain Steve worked really hard for us to get into fish. The weather was not conducive to go out of the bay and chase salmon so we stayed in the Bay. Fish were not cooperating but Captain Steve kept working and finding places to fish. Awesome trip and would definitely do it again.

I booked this charter for my boyfriends 30th birthday! They caught around 90 fish today and got to keep 10 each! He had the best time. He will be talking about today for the rest of his life. Thank you so much!
