We had a great time fishing with Oscar. It is the slow season for fishing so we didn’t expect to catch a whole lot, but it was exciting when my husband caught a sail fish! And almost got a marlin. Great experience!
P.s. don’t be Like me and not bring Dramamine or you’ll be puking off the side of the boat if you get motion sickness😂  Overall though, definitely will be coming back again. Thanks Oscar!

I am so impressed with the professionalism, enthusiasm, and capability of this crew! We spent a full day fishing with Oscar, Jorge and Zachary and it was an absolute blast. As a former charter Captain, I can tell you without a doubt that Oscar takes pride in his operation and gives 100% to ensure his clients have an excellent day on the water. From catching bait to “never quitting” despite slow fishing, this crew kept spirits high and pushed until the last minute to put us on fish. While our target species eluded us, we did catch two fat pacific snook and a variety of other “entertaining” species. Oscar and Jorge kept fresh bait in the water at all times and covered a multitude of spots to maximize our chances - we fished the beaches, rock piles, bait balls, and the surf break during our trip, which certainly took some maneuvering! Oscar is absolutely an expert when it comes to the techniques, rigging, and live bait catching needed to dominate the inshore scene off Quepos. While the fishing was slow for us, I wouldn’t hesitate to fish with this crew on the next venture. Best of the best!

Captain, crew, boat were all super. We were stocked with snacks and drinks, saw an insane amount of dolphins and turtles, but unfortunately we went out on one of those days that the fish weren’t cooperating.  Sounded like other boats experienced the same thing that day. We caught some bonito that we used for tuna bait but despite going out 28 miles and the captain giving us more than an hour of extra time, we couldn’t get any of the fish they wanted to catch. I appreciate their extra effort and would go out with them again

We had the absolute best time with Oscar! He responded very quickly to our request and was very attentive to what we wished to fish for. He went out of his way to make sure that we had a great day and we were able to catch a number of fish. We would highly recommend Osmak Fishing to anyone that wants to know their captain will do whatever he can to make sure you catch fish and have a great time doing it.

After 5 hours of seeing nothing despite the Captain’s best efforts , we finally got a call of yellow fin tuna on the run from a few pods of dolphins. This captain is well connected and respected amongst other fishing charters. It’s that relationship that got us to travel about 22 miles to get on top of the tuna. We stopped after landing 6 beautiful yellow fin tunas.
My advice: make sure that you take the biggest and best tunas to keep. We gave the captain and the mate 2 tunas- of which they chose the biggest and best.
The boat is a little under powered with on 150 HP but the slow pace is made up for in significant savings. We also had rough conditions so slow going was a choice no matter what the HP.
Overall - I recommend.
