True Fly Charters invites you for a memorable fishing journey out of Deerfield Beach, Florida. Have a great time exploring the area’s nearshore waters, flats, as well as the backcountry, and try your hand at reeling in some of the fine species you can encounter. Captain Colin is a seasoned angler and he knows how to provide a productive and fun fishing trip. Join him and experience the beauty of fishing in Florida!

Your adventure will take place on a 17’ Maverick flats boat made in 2018. It runs on a 70 HP Yamaha engine, uses modern GPS and fishfinder navigation electronics, and also features a wireless trolling motor. There is a livewell to provide you with live bait as well as an ice-box to store your catch. Up to 2 guests can come aboard.

After you leave the dock on your comfortable boat, you will head out to the best spots in the area and target Jack Crevalle, Tarpon, Snook, and Spotted Seatrout. To attract your prey, you will be using spinning and fly fishing on light tackle. The fish you reel in is yours to keep if you want to. Do not forget that kids are welcome to join aboard so you can make your trip a wonderful family stay in nature.

The captain takes care of all the fishing equipment, snacks, drinks, as well as licenses, so there is nothing you need to bring on the trip.

    Fishing dock and bridge lights is an excellent way for anglers to catch Snook and small Tarpon on fly. This fish is primarily eating small minnows most easily mimicked by flies. This trip is well suited for both novice and intermediate anglers. As an avid fly fisherman himself, Captain Colin is happy to provide tips on how to improve your cast and presentation.

Fly fishing has always been a big part of my families life. I started my carrier guiding in the Mid West and then as a captain on private sport fishing operations. I spent 10 years guiding clients for some of the most sought after game fish and pursing world records in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico. For the past 5 years I have been staying close to home and putting my clients on quality fish in the Bahamas and right here in South Florida.
