SPI Coastal Fishing Charters, LLC is a full-time, private fishing and eco-tour charter service located in beautiful South Padre Island, Texas. The charter service offers inshore, bay fishing year-round on the Lower Laguna Madre Bay. Operated and run by Captain David Garza, the charter service will meet the needs of any level of angler, whether new to fishing or experienced. Along with fishing, Captain David also offers family-oriented eco-tours that may include dolphin watching, sightseeing such as Space X, visiting a private beach, shelling, and a booze cruise. SPI Coastal Fishing Charters, LLC is USCG-certified and fully insured. Captain David’s top priority for you is providing an affordable and memorable experience on the bay. Join him and have a wonderful time on the waters of deep South Texas!

Your vessel for the day will be a 23’ Haynie Big Foot bay boat. It runs on a 225 HP Mercury engine, uses GPS and VHF radio navigation technology, and can sit up to 4 anglers. There’s an ice-box for storing your catch and a livewell for keeping live bait.

Fishing often includes drift fishing with artificial and live natural bait. Depending on the day, people’s preferences, and skill levels, other methods may be used in fishing. The species you can expect to catch include Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Sand Trout, Whiting, Sheepshead, Jack Crevalle, and King Mackerel (summer).

Captain David takes care of all the fishing tackle, bait, and drinks. If you choose to keep your catch, he can clean and fillet it for you at no extra cost. Just bring your licenses, sunscreen, snacks, and drinks before you start the trip.
