Spearfishing Today – Cozumel
If you have ever wanted a Hercules moment in the sun, then Spearfishing Today is the perfect charter trip for you. You will use your primal instincts to dive into the crystal waters and spear your own dinner! The guys at Spearfishing Today all live to spear, and spear to live. You will have a great spearfishing adventure with them.
Although the minimum age for children is 8, they do need to be great at swimming and good at taking directions. Scuba equipment is not allowed in these waters, meaning you will need to take a big breath and use your scuba equipment to help you dive deep.
The team will take the time and space to help develop your skills, but being comfortable in the water is essential. Experience is not needed, as your guide will teach you step by step how to get the most out of your trip. By the end of the day you’ll be able to freedive and hunt with ease.
If you are going to learn to spearfish, then you really should learn in Mexico – these crystalline waters have some amazing reef formations and shipwrecks, with perfect visibility. You’ll be able to stay close to the shore, and dive to depths of 6m to 30m.
Your dinner will be diverse and awesome too. Expect to target Barracuda, Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Lionfish, African Pompano, Rainbow Runner, and more.
Fruit and water are provided. You will only need to bring swimwear, a rashguard, and waterproof sunscreen. All gear is provided for too. If you want to bring your own that is perfectly fine, but please be aware that powerheads are prohibited in Mexico.
Spearfishing Today know that you may come as strangers, but you are sure to leave as friends, along with a newfound love of spearfishing.
