Reel Alaska Fishing Charters 1-6px

If you’re looking for a true Alaskan adventure vacation, make sure to book a trip with Reel Alaska Fishing Charters. After fishing all over the US, Captain Scott came back to Alaska several years ago and decided to run a premium charter service here. His fleet of captains love to share their vast experience with you as well as exchange travel stories. They make sure everybody on board has the best trip possible. Join them in Ketchikan and enjoy a wonderful time fishing.

Your adventure starts on a large offshore sport fishing boat. It has plenty of room for up to 6 anglers inside its enclosed cabin and runs on twin Yamaha F250 engines. It uses all the needed navigation electronics and is equipped with salmon fishing gear, halibut gear, and electric downriggers.

The boat has a private restroom and a sink with fresh water, and also features a radio system, a refrigerator, an ice-box, and a HEATER! You’ll enjoy a stable ride, a pleasant warm interior, and will have plenty of space on deck to target some lovely species.

The most prized fish you’ll go after are Chinook Salmon and Halibut but you can also target various Salmon species, Crab, Rockfish, and Lingcod. Salmon in this area gets huge! Reel Alaska Fishing Charters promises that after your trip, you’ll fall in love with Alaska!

Reel Alaska Fishing Charters offers flexible start times and provides Shimano and Gibbs Delta fishing gear, drinks, and snacks. You should only buy and print your fishing license before you come on board. Catch cleaning is available at $2.27 at pound finished weight.

If you want to spearfish on your trip, make sure to tell the captain in advance. Spearfishing can only be done on private trips. Fly fishing gear can be provided for 4 people, so make sure to bring your own rods if needed.

The captain grew up fishing in Alaska and NW Washington as a young man chasing Salmon in both the ocean and local rivers. Moving down the coast, he's fished Oregon for 6 years, then started actively freedive spearfishing and moved down to California and the Channel Islands. Before long, the captain found himself spending several years in Louisiana, getting spoiled with their amazing fishery. Then he headed to South Florida, fishing the Lower Keys and Key West for 5 years as a captain and crew. After bouncing back and forth with the seasons, Reel Alaska Fishing Charters has been back year-round in Ketchikan, Alaska since 2018. Now both local businesses and landowners, the crew has fallen in love with this amazing community and plans to spend the rest of their lives here.
