We were unsure with the weather of how the trip was going to be. There was a beach warning with 2-4 foot swells and windy conditions. My wife was unhappy with my decision not to cancel. Captain Jarrod thought we would be good if we were fishing out in front of the piers. Captain Jarrod waited until 6 am to go out, he wanted it to start to get light. This is the 3rd time that we have been out with Captain Jarrod and normally we went out at 5:30 am.  No sooner than we had all the lines out we started getting bites. Most of the time we had doubles and one time we had a triple. We had a total of 19 fish on and ended up getting 15 (11 Chinook and 4 Cohos) in the boat. By 8:50 am we were heading back to the dock because we had our limit. I don’t believe we went longer than 5 minutes without a bite. What a trip of a lifetime and what a great experience it was for my son as it was his first time salmon fishing. I guess I made the right decision because my wife was smiling ear to ear.

Jarred’s boat was clean and plenty of room for the four of us plus Jarred and Sam.  Both were very friendly and knowledgeable! We set lines in the channel and went just out of the outlet into Lake Michigan and circled back to the Channel where the King Salmon were on.  My goal was to have my Son, Grandson and Son in law catch a big King.  Well Jarred and Sam delivered!  My Son caught the biggest at about 22 pounds, then the rest of us probably averaged 15 to 18 lbs.  the boys were wore out after the trip from battling the Kings! Jarred and Sam worked the butts off for us.  Best crew ever!  Everyone should book a trip with Jarred and Sam, they were great.  Thanks for a memorable time, it was a life long memory for my boys!

My son and I had such an awesome experience with Captain Jarrod and his first mate, Dakota. Not only were they professional, kind and helpful but they were both extremely knowledgeable about the fishing and Captain Jarrod would take time to answer all our questions. He knows his stuff!
Not only did we catch a ton of fish (several variety) but we were given the best service throughout the entire trip, making both my son and I feel comfortable and confident!

This was our second trip with Captain Jarrod. We had a trip last August and this one was in May. We had a great time and caught 5 chinook salmon. Captain Jarrod and Dakota worked hard helping us the whole trip. The boat is very nice and clean, the fishing gear is well kept and of course Captain Jarrod and Dakota are some of the nicest people and know what they are doing when it comes to fishing. I am looking forward to booking another trip with Last Call Sportfishing Charters later this year.
