Hocus Pocus Sport Fishing runs angling trips out of Ocean City and offers to show you what the local fishery is all about.
Capt. Yanni is here to get you on some fish, and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, fly fishing, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning, depending on what you’re going after. As part of their 4 to 30-hour trips, you can target species like Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Marlin, Seabass, Flounder, and Swordfish, depending on the current season and weather conditions.
The Hocus Pocus is a completely restored and refitted Bertram 31, powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines. The boat is fitted with all top-of-the-line gear; from the new Garmin chart plotter, radar, fishfinder, autopilot, and video camera to JPR custom rods and Penn reels. All of the tackle on the boat is constantly being updated and re-rigged to assure everything is perfect when you step on the boat and you have a trip and experience you will never forget.
Hocus Pocus was restored by an avid fisherman, who did not spare a dime on rod storage, allowing the boat to carry up to 30 rods. She was purchased by a family who loves to fish, so Capt. Yanni’s mother made her quite the comfortable ride.
The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water. As for fishing licenses, everything will be taken care of by the captain so you don’t have to worry about it. You can keep anything you catch, as long as it’s legal to do so.
Here to help you with anything you need, the first mate will be on hand during the trip. Leaving a tip for a job well done is much appreciated. This is a children-friendly charter, so you’re welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.
