Running angling trips out of Icy Strait Point and Hoonah, Alaska, Game Creek Guides invites you to check out the local fishery in style.
Capt. Lucas aims to tailor every trip to your specific needs, so let him know what you’re after! You’re looking at 3-hour trips, where you’ll specifically target the delicious Halibut with other like-minded anglers.
Your adventure begins on board a 34’ Strongback boat that can fit a maximum of 6 anglers. The boat is fitted with a toilet. The price of your trip includes all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you’ll need for a productive day on the water.
Please keep in mind you’ll need to get a fishing license before the start of the trip. You can keep anything you catch, as long as it’s legal to do so.

Incredible Day Fishing!
Half Day Trip – Halibut on July 12, 2023 • 2 adults • 1 child
Capt. Lucas and Game Creek is amazing. My family and I were treated to our best day fishing ever. The action started as soon as our jig hit bottom, and never Stopped. My arms are sore as I type this. I took my 5 year old son with us and Capt. Lucas was awesome with him. We also spotted Coastal Brown Bears, Sea Otters, and Seals. This is a true local charter, not an overpriced excursion. Everything was 1st rate including his first mate, who happened to be his 11 year old son. I can not recommend this entire operation enough it was so much more than I could have dreamed of.

Amazing fishing charter

To say our charter with Captain Lucas was fantastic is a huge understatement. We had an absolute blast on our charter. We caught tons of fish! Captain Lucas is a fantastic Captain, fisherman, and person! We booked this charter while on a port call for an Alaskan cruise. When asked what the best part of the cruise was, all 5 of us have told people the fishing was by far the best part of the entire cruise. I couldn’t recommend fishing with Captain Lucas enough. If you have the time, you will not be disappointed at all.
