West Bay has a fish with your name on it, so let Heidi k. help you catch it! Your guide for the day is Captain Clay, allowing you to benefit from years of local experience.
Species like Swordfish, Tripletail, Yellowtail Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Blue Marlin, African Pompano Jack, and more inhabit these waters if you cast your line at the right time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
You’ll be dropping lines from a 32’ Boston Whaler center console that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are included, along with lures.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It’s customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
You will need to get a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
Heidi k. will make it easy for you to go fishing in West Bay. So, how about booking that trip?
