We’ve vacationed in the area many times but never had a chance to fish while here.  We (husband & I) were traveling with 2 teenaged boys and our family dog. The boys were dying to fish and after looking into several charters, I ended up booking with Captain Jamie.  He did not disappoint!  We went out on a windy day and Jamie even went out and navigated the area ahead of time to make sure that the trip would be comfortable and successful.  The boys had a blast and both agreed it was their favorite part of the trip. We took home limits and released the same plus some. At one point, we had fish on every line! We had a great time and recommend Captain Jamie to anyone considering a charter!

Experience like no other!

We weren’t on the water for an hour before our first catch was landed. After that, it was a heck of an experience watching his skills and expertise in action. Continuously putting us right on the fish. At one point my daughter was landing one fish just in time to fight the next one. If you’re spending money on an experience, you want to make sure you’ve got the absolute best person in charge, and I’m telling you now that this man is the best. Ended up with multiple stripers over 12 pounds and one that was 19 pounds. If you’re even considering a charter in this area, then Captain Steve is the guide for you!

Another great day fishing with Capt. Steve. The man does not give up on the hunt for striper!  Best boat and gear on the lake. And about the nicest guide out there.  We had a little rain today, but the TWO canopies covered our whole group while we still fished. Awesomeness!

I fish quite a bit and have my own boat, and everyone always asks me to take them out fishing. That’s when I’ll be calling Steve.  I had the most relaxing time while Steve did all the work with a big smile on his face.

Fishing with striper bandits was the best time ever. it was myself my wife and my 7 year old and 3 year old. I was worried about my kids doing good but captain Steve was patient and very calm with my kiddos. We started out slow but so did all the other Charters as we could hear from the radio traffic on his CB. we then got hit by a major storm where Captain Steve knew exactly where to tske us to keep us safe and out of the weather. once it passed he was right back on it trying to get us on the fish. We hooked into a few small mouths that my son loved fighting but still no stripers. we searched and searched and searched until time for us to leave. That’s not where the story ends though. Captain Steve then kept fishing to get us on the fish. he wanted us to have a good experience so he didn’t stop. He said let’s try this one last place that I know of. As soon as we pulled up you could see the fish all over the fish finder (which he taught me a ton about). As soon as we dropped the 1st pole and started the second the first one bent over double and fish on. That was my wife’s first BIG fish. Boom there goes the second pole then the first one then the third one 4th. We caught a ton of fish and made some great memories that we will cherish forever. We had a great experience with Captain Steve and it was all cause of his dedication and knowledge. Thanks Mr Steve Hess for a great time. We will be back for sure.
