Tearin’ Em Up! Charters specializes in fun family fishing charters in the beautiful surroundings of Sarasota, Florida. All ages are welcome on board, and Captain Doug Riccardi will make sure even the most novice anglers will have an enjoyable time out on the water.
There is a multitude of fish species available in the inshore and nearshore waters around Sarasota, and Captain Doug will show you the most enjoyable way of targeting them. Try your hand at catching pretty and delicious fish such as Sheepshead, Redfish, Snappers, Jacks, and many more. The boat is loaded with Penn reels and Ugly Stick rods and the captain will show you exactly how to use them so you can reel in a beauty.
Captain Doug runs over 300 years a year, with people from all over the world. He knows that you will become friends, and likes to remind customers that when he comes to visit he will have no clue as to the complexities of your fishing strategies, just like when you come to Florida to fish. All the tackle he uses is relevant for the current species running in the local waters. You are welcome to bring your own gear, but please speak to the captain before your trip so you can discuss what is needed.
Don’t forget that you are out to have some fun. Hopefully, you’ll catch some dinner, but the aim of the trip is not to pack coolers full of fish. It’s about a combination of pure enjoyment of being out on the water and fishing and the responsible management of the finite natural resources in this wonderful ecosystem.
All trips are all inclusive, so all your bait, licensing, quality equipment, a cooler full of ice, bottled water, and digital photos are provided for you. If you catch some fish you’d like to take home to eat, Captain Doug will clean and ziplock it for you. All you need to bring are sunglasses, a hat, and your favorite beverage.
