5S River Fishing Guide Service
5S River Fishing Guide Service is the best way of exploring the abundant waters of the Sacramento River! With 2020 being his 40th year as a professional guide, Captain Gordon has been fishing his whole life, so he’ll make sure to show you the best spots and help make your trip productive.
You’ll head out on his 17’ Fishrite jet boat, perfect for an outing with a few friends. It’s powered by a 90 HP Yamaha engine, making it a great vessel for a day on the river. It can comfortably accommodate 2 passengers or up to 3 if the combined passenger weight is below 450lbs. A benefit of going out on a smaller boat is that your captain will be able to give you individual attention and instruction.
Capt. Gordon will have Fenwick and Lamiglas rods, as well as Shimano, Abu, and Garcia reels ready for you, and you’ll be fishing using a range of artificial lures. If you want to take your catch home and make a delicious meal or fill the freezer, the captain will be happy to clean and fillet it for you.
The Sacramento River has a lot to offer when it comes to fishing, being home to a variety of prized species. ‘5S’ stands for the five species that Capt. Gordon targets – Striped Bass (Spring/Fall), Sturgeon (Winter), Shad (Spring/Summer), Salmon (Fall), and Steelhead (Winter).
Capt. Gordon loves to put his clients on fish! He will work hard to ensure that you have a fun and safe trip on the river. His trips run for a full day, however, it is quite common for clients to reach their catch/keep limit early in the day! There is no need to go on an expensive trip out of state. Capt. Gordon is targeting BIG fish right here in California!!
All you need to do now is pack, book 5S River Fishing Guide Service, and come explore the Sacramento River!
