Healy Outdoors Ice Fishing Trips take place on a variety of lakes within driving distance of Oswego, NY and offers to show you a memorable time on the ice.

Capt. Michael will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 8-hour trips, mainly fishing for Lake Trout, Walleye, Perch, Pike, Tiger Musky, Crappie, and Sunfish, depending on the season and conditions on the day. You pick what you would like to target and we will give you a location on where we will fish them. We regularly fish Oneida lake, Sandy Pond, Sodus Bay, and a good few low-key lakes in Jefferson County.

On these trips you can expect to keep busy jigging, learning jigging techniques, how to utilize a fish finder, and how to set tip-ups.

We utilize an Eskimo 650XD insulated shanty with a buddy heater to keep toasty warm. We can comfortably fish 5 in a shanty. We provide fish finders and an underwater camera. All rods, reels, live bait, and terminal tackle are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time and dress for the weather.

    On this trip, we will be chasing Bluegill, Crappie, Perch, Pike, Pickerel, and Bass. Our underwater camera makes jigging like a video game, this trip is perfect for the kids. All fishing gear and bait are provided. We use an insulated/heated Eskimo 650XD shanty that fits 5-7 people. These trips are primarily designed for quantity of fish to keep things exciting.

    On this trip, we will be primarily chasing Perch with occasional Pike. Our underwater camera makes jigging like a video game, this trip is perfect for the kids. It’s not strange here to see the screen full of fish. All fishing gear and bait are provided. We use an insulated/heated Eskimo 650XD shanty that fits 5-7 people. Keep in mind these trips are primarily designed for quantity of fish to keep things exciting.

    On this trip, we will be heading out on the weed beds just before dark to get set up and fish the night bite for Crappie and Bluegill. We will be jigging and slip bobbering with minnows. All fishing gear and bait are provided. We use an insulated/heated Eskimo 650XD shanty that fits 5-7 people. Night bites vary and can be dull but can also be very rewarding for Crappie.

    On these trips, we will target Pike and Perch. We jig for Perch to keep things active while the tip-ups work for the pike. Occasionally, we’ll jig up a surprise big Walleye as well. Jigging for Pike is fun too but requires more patience and it is usually smaller. All fishing gear and bait are provided. We use an insulated/heated Eskimo 650XD shanty that fits 5-7 people. Another favored feature is our underwater camera. Overall, these trips can be a lot of fun and comfortable.

    On this trip we will be targeting Walleye and Yellow Perch. Walleye can be quite finicky and jigging cadence is everything so be prepared to learn some new techniques. Our underwater camera makes targeting both species a lot of fun. All fishing gear and bait is provided. We use an insulated/ heated Eskimo 650XD shanty that fits 5-7 people. These trips are comfortable and can be a lot of fun especially first ice when the walleye are fired up.

    These trips can be surprisingly quite active with tip-up flags every couple of minutes. Tiger Musky is voracious and a lot of fun to catch. When we can, we will also do some jigging for Perch and other panfish. All fishing gear and bait are provided. We use an insulated/ heated Eskimo 650XD shanty that fits 5-7 people. Another favored feature is our underwater camera. Overall, these trips can be a lot of fun and comfortable.

    These trips take place in Redwood, NY. The low-key, spring-fed lakes are annually stocked with Atlantic Salmon, Lake Trout, and Rainbow Trout. All of which are a lot of fun to catch on ice fishing rods and tip-ups, plus they taste great. Jigging lakes is active, technical, and requires a fishfinder. All fishing gear and bait are provided. We use an insulated/heated Eskimo 650XD shanty that fits 5-7 people. On these trips, we don’t usually get a ton of fish but it is quality fish and a lot of fun.
