Redfish Roper Charters

Cove Harbor South
Rockport TX, United States

Redfish Roper Charters invites you on a shallow water adventure in Rockport you will never forget. The charter is operated by Captain Jim Garrison who has fished the local bays and jetties for over 15 years and knows exactly where the fish are biting, and when. He can accommodate beginner and experienced anglers, and his competitive nature will lead you right to the best fish!

Captain Jim operates a 22-foot Triton Bayflight center console originally built in 2002, and restored in 2016. The boat is powered by a 225 HP Mercury 2015 engine making it fast and steady on the water. It is fully equipped with USCG-approved safety features such as Type 1 life jackets, flares, and a CPR-trained crew.

The vessel has fish finding technology and a GPS, as well as a wireless trolling motor which is used in the very shallow waters and not to spook the fish. There is also a livewell for the bait and an icebox for the catch on board.

Redfish Roper Charters can take you on full day and half day trips in the bays and jetties of Rockport, Texas. This area is abundant with Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, and Flounder, so it’s only a matter how carefully you listen to Captain Jim’s instructions and you’ll be on the fish using site casting with lures.

You will have live and dead bait, rods, reels, tackle, lures, and a fish processing service at the end of your trip. Please make sure you obtain a valid fishing license for the state of Texas prior to your trip. You are welcome to bring food and drinks for the day, and please be aware of Captain Jim’s moderate drinking policy to ensure a great and productive trip for everyone onboard.
