Running full-time angling trips out of Port Aransas, Red Tag Guide Service invites you to check out the local fishery in style from an experienced captain who lives on the island and fishes year round.

Capt. Randy has been fishing in and around Port A for the last 25 years and since he lives and fishes here full-time, he is here to get you on some fish and to make sure you have fun doing it. You’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, and jigging, throwing lures, all depending on what fish you’re going after. As part of their 5 to 8-hour trips, you can target species like Snapper, Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder and Speckled Trout, depending on the current season and weather conditions.

Your adventure begins on board a 23’ Hay boat that can fit a maximum of 4 anglers. The boat is fitted with a wireless trolling motor and raptor shallow water anchor.

All the necessary fishing gear is included in the price of your trip. All that’s up to you is to use it as best you can.

Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time.

You’re welcome to keep all legal species caught during the trip.

This is a children-friendly charter, so you’re welcome to bring your kids on for a fun fishing adventure.

It's your choice whether we go hunt for oversized catches and release them or go for landing keepers. Speckled Trout, Redfish, and Black Drum are on the menu. We take care of cleaning all your fish so they are ready to take home to eat! The price is $550 for 2 people, each additional person is $100 for a total of 750.00 for up to 4 people.     If you prefer the afternoon fishing action, then this trip is the right fit for you. Leave the Fisherman's Wharf marina in Port Aransas at 1:00 p.m. for a half day bay fishing trip, and return to the marina around 5:30 p.m. You'll get to target Black Drum, Speckled Trout, and Redfish. We take care of the cleaning so you get fresh fish for dinner. The price is $550 for 2 people, each additional person is $100 for a total of 750 for 4 people.

    Go all in with this 8-hour adventure! We'll start the trip at 7:30 a.m. and stay on the water until 3:30 p.m. If you want to go earlier or later, just let me know and we can design a trip just for you and your crew. Sandwiches, chips, and cookies are provided for lunch, you only need to bring your own drinks. Whether we go for the catch and release of oversized fish or focus on finding keepers, it's up to you, but we should have time to do both! $1200 is the total cost of the trip for up to 4 people

Running full-time angling trips out of Port Aransas is my full-time job and since I both live here in Port A and guide bay trips full-time, I can put you in the best spots for fish all around the island because I am on the water just about every single day year-round. From freshwater to saltwater, for the last 41 years all over Texas, my friends always want to go fishing with me and I have made lots of new friends and clients over the years who continue to do the same. Growing up, my long-term goal in life was to become a licensed TPWD/USCG fishing guide so I could show everyone how much fun it is to be on the water and I am so grateful I get to take more folks out to enjoy fishing as a full-time guide. I was blessed to catch the first red-tag Redfish in the CCA/STAR fishing tournament three years ago to win a truck and a brand new Haynie 23 Bigfoot, which I have outfitted with the best equipment available on the market including Raptor anchor, MinnKota Riptide Terrova trolling motor, Simrad Go9 XSE GPS/fish finder, Burnbar with removable canvas top for sight fishing, a live well, kicker stereo, cooler for all your keeper fish, and a cooler for snacks/drinks.
