My Dad and I took a 6 hour trip with Captain Wes- we had a fantastic time from start to finish.  All we had to do was show up and he took care of the rest.  Tackle, bait, and the boat were all waiting for us when we arrived.

He knew exactly where to go to get fish, and almost as soon as the lines hit the water, the fish started hitting!  We ended up bringing home Red and Vermillion snapper, but we pulled in flounder, sea bass and a whole slew of other fish.  Once we got to shore, Captain Wes cleaned and filleted the fish for us.  (We cooked and ate it tonight- you can’t beat how it tastes fresh from the ocean!) 

I highly recommend booking with him- I know we’ll back when we get the chance!

The family and I had a blast fishing with Cpt. Wes.  He took the time to find out what kind of trip we were looking for and totally delivered. He got my kids on some good fish right off the bat and they loved it.  We were getting hits as soon as we dropped in for 3 hrs straight.

I’ve been on larger fishing charters before and I really enjoyed this one a lot more.  Cpt. Wes made it a very personal experience, had lots of great advice and tailored the trip to exactly what we were looking for.

Next time we’re looking to do some offshore fishing near Destin, Cpt. Wes will be our first choice.  Highly recommended.

Our experience was awesome! Great weather, water wasn’t too rough. Perfect boat for a smaller groups. Captain Wes was fun to chat with, he shared so many grest stories and experiences. Also maintained a very professional manner. Boat and equipment were all clean even though he just finished taking out a group before us. Equipment was nice, just overall had a great experience. I understand fishing may not always go in your favor, we went in October and still had fun catching triggerfish, grunts and hooking into a massive shark. Other than that the bite was alright, couldn’t land all the bites we were having. If I am back in this area I will be checking with Captain Wes first for availability!

We had a great trip with Captain Wes!  We had a small group of varying ages and experience levels, and we all caught at least one good-sized Snapper and multiple other species.  Wes was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer our questions about the fish and the equipment we were using. He was very accommodating…he made sure the adults and kids each had opportunities to catch a variety of fish using different poles, bait, and methods. 
Prior to the trip Wes was an excellent communicator. He reached out to set the expectations of the trip and began monitoring the weather a few days out.  We ended up delaying our trip due to weather based on his recommendation, and we are glad we did. The weather that day ended up being terrible, but it was perfect when we rebooked.  When he found out where we were staying, he changed the pickup/drop off location to cut down on our travel time and maximize our time on the water.
Everyone in our group would highly recommend Captain Wes and High Flying Charters to anyone looking to book a trip. I know we will definitely use him again next time we are in town.

I scheduled this trip for my son’s 17th birthday and really didn’t care about catching a particular species, we just wanted to get plenty of action as none in our party had been salt water fishing before. Captain Wes delivered and kept us on fish the whole trip. My son caught a fairly large red snapper on the first cast of the day which gave him a good fight and exactly the experience we were looking for. The rest of us stayed busy realing in fish as well. Overall, I can say that Caption Was was very knowledgeable about the area, having several spots planned out in advance, and how to catch good fish while avoiding some of the nuisance species. I’ll definitely book with him again for our next trip.
