Wow! Captain Donnie was awesome! Booking was easy and he called the afternoon before our trip to talk about the details (how many kids, directions to the launch, where to park, etc.). We met at the launch and he was getting the boat in the water ready for us. Trip started with life jacket for my son, safety info about the boat and emergency procedures, and a general overview of how the trip would go. We then went to catch bait fish, Capt. Donnie put us right on them and a couple of casts of the baitnet had the livewell stocked and ready to go. The wind and water were unusually rough, but Capt. Donnie took it easy and made the rough waters as enjoyable as humanly possible. Not long after, we were on the spot and Donnie was baiting our lines. He offered great advice on technique and we were fishing. He was awesome with helping my son and I get the bites and start reeling them in. Two dolphins showed up, which is pretty cool until you realize that they’re scaring away the fish. Capt. Donnie moved us to a different spot and we were fishing again, till the same two dolphins came back. Move again, catching fish, dolphins back again. One last move and we finally outran them. We caught our limit, and ended up with some beauties. Not to mention the half dozen throughout the day that were too small to keep. Back to the dock and Capt Donnie has our keepers cleaned and filleted. Even with the dolphins and rough waters, Captain Donnie had us on the fish, kept our lines baited, and catching fish, exactly what we asked for. The boat and equipment were excellent. The trip was so much fun, relaxed, and handled perfectly. We will definitely book with Team Vinson Charters again. Thanks Captain Donnie!

I booked a trip for my Daddy’s 60th birthday with his son in laws and grandson on our family vacay! Capt. Donnie and his team were fabulous! Communication was perfect and flawless and my husband was so impressed with Captain Donnie taking time to teach our 10 year old son how to do all the fishing stuff and his patience was much appreciated! The men all came back raving about how much fun they had catching fish and learning about the island from Capt. Donnie! We are making it an annual trip with Capt. Donnie and Team Vinson!

Came out for my kids birthday. After a 30min ride to the spot we were on the fish as soon as we stopped. The current was rough but the boat was solid. I say that because we had to move a few times as we got pushed out of position but the Capt got us right back in the fight. We were only 2 shy of our limit which was great considering it was choppy. Not that we didn't catch plenty more, just had to toss them back. All in all, everyone enjoyed and crew was nice. Excellent radio system which is a plus!

Captain Donnie provided a first rate day on the water. All the equipment including the boat was in great condition and spotless. Captain Donnie and his crew did everything in their power to get us on fish. The crew was prompt and professional and made us feel comfortable while fishing. We caught multiple species of fish. We caught Trout, Flounder and Sheepshead . We have used other charters and without naming names they do not compare to Team Vinson Charters. My son and I will definitely contact Team Vinson Charters for all our future fishing trips in the Dauphin Island/ Mobile area.
