From the time we get picked up at the dock until we get dropped off he is 100% professional, safe, and fun to be with. We have fished with Cape Mark 5 times now and every time we put a lot of fish in the boat. These include Snook, Snapper, Sheepshead, Jacks and Red Fish. We usually have three or four people fishing and everybody catches fish. If we were fishing a slow spot, he moves to another spot that is more productive. Cap’n Mark knows the area better than most and he will not waste your time. We always have plenty of live bait for catching as well as chumming to stir up the fish. I have been fishing Pine Island Sound, Captiva Island and Sanibel Island for 30 years and have used a lot of guides, and I can say without hesitation that Captain Mark Westra is the absolute BEST!.

The Captain pulled up in the boat at the starting time and conveniently got us on the boat.  We immediately felt comfortable, and he got rolling put us on the fish.  We caught 3 keeper trout, a giant Jack, and probably about 25 snook.  The biggest snook were 22, 24, 26 and a 28 incher!  He didn’t move to the next spot until it was time to move.  A lot of captains jump around, but Captain Mark kept us on the fish all through the charter.  I strongly recommend you book a trip with him in a comfortable boat, and an experienced captain.

We had two groups of two, so Mark acquired a second captain and we fished two against two. Mark puts in all the work, out early catching baitfish, three livewells full. Put us on fish, doubles a lot of the time. Fifth year with Mark and we will be back! Everybody had a great time!

Captain Mike performed above expectations once again. He put us on the fish and we had a great time catching Snook and Sea Trout. We will continue to book trips with him and recommend you do too.
