Captain Jeff began fishing and hunting at the age of 5. It was there he developed a passion and love for sharing the outdoor experience with others.

His primary waters are Galveston East Bay, docking out of Stingaree Canal, in Crystal Beach, where he has spent the last 35 years saltwater fishing, and the last 8 as a full-time resident to better focus on the ever-changing fish patterns to get clients on the fish.

Whether you prefer wade fishing the shoreline, fishing the shallows in the marsh, or the reefs out deep, he would love to have you along and will work to design a trip that exceeds your expectations.

Captain Jeff is a Christian family man who enjoys nothing more than putting smiles on kids’ faces when they achieve that impressive or first-time catch and will work hard to make it an enjoyable day on the water.
You will be fishing out of a Texas Made Gulf Coast Flats Boat, with Yamaha SHO 4 stroke to get you to the spots and back with safety and reliability, and for convenience, you will be taking off from our private dock and fish camp, eliminating the crowds at the marina during the peak season. 

Captain Jeff specializes in teaching trips with artificial lures but can fish with live bait (at bait shop prices), so the choice is yours as to how you want to approach the day. Either way, it will be a Great Day enjoying, and admiring God’s beauty on the waters of East Galveston Bay.

This week’s report: Surface water temperature 78 degrees. Water clarity good for the majority of East Galveston Bay, especially on the South shoreline, with stained water East of Marsh point. This week we fished shell beds in the 2′ – 3’ depth range and found good numbers of Trout and a few reds, and flounder. As in previous weeks, if you catch a fish, power pole down and fan cast the entire area, as we have been picking up several fish in close proximity. If you get into an area and do not see bait activity, make a few casts, and move on, as our experience has been, if you find good amounts of bait the fish are close by. This week we have thrown various size jig heads, depending upon the wind with Wac Attack straight tails in Rollover Moon, as well as marker 54 Glide Shrimp, and the new 1/8 oz Shrimplets, under a 1’ – 2’ leader and a Fish Smack Popping Cork. If you fish late afternoons, the Bulls are chasing bait going down the South shoreline right before dark and will stretch your line if you are looking to battle one for a while. This week the early AM and late PM bite were both strong for us on our charters, and the Topwater bite was stellar. We did not see as much active bait this week, as in previous weeks, but when we found bait we caught fish.
