Captain Mark and his 1st mate Chris were great. You can be assured that this is a quality operation and we would book them again. We caught a Mahi, Triple Tails and a bonito. The boat and crew were a pleasure to be with and they relentlessly tried to get us into fish all day. The conditions just didn’t allow for a huge haul in fish, but it looked like every other charter today couldn’t get bites either. It wasn’t for a lack of trying and even staying an extra amount of time to hit one more spot before it was time to come in. The Mahi Mania was comfortable and clean, ran well and had all the tackle and electronics to get the job done. This is a great trip for kids, families or serious anglers. If you’ve never been or want try a new charter out of Key Largo, we had a great time and we highly recommend Mahi Mania, Capt Mark and Chris.

Man what a trip! We left the marina at Key Largo right after 7:30am and headed 16-17 miles offshore on the hunt for mahi mahi. The ride out to look for a spot was beautiful. We spent the morning looking for birds, seagrass, debris, any kind of sign to let us know where the mahi mahi were. Between 10-11am our patience paid off, Mark and Chris found a large piece of driftwood with schools of baitfish underneath. Once we started trolling around the driftwood it was mahi in the spread! We landed a few keepers on lures, hooked one, kept it on the line, and let it swim around the boat to act as “bait”. Once this was done Capt Mark stopped the boat and had us start casting cut bait out to them. This was the coolest fishing I’ve ever done! Sight fishing a school of mahi mahi in 1200 ft of water is something else, you need to experience it for yourself to know how awesome it is. These fish were HUNGRY and aggresive, we all had some great fights with them. The teamwork between Capt Mark and his first mate Chris was cool to watch too. I feel like I learned a lot from this trip and I’d recommend Mahi Mania to anyone who is looking to get into some serious fishing in the Florida Keys. 3 of us in our group had very little or no saltwater fishing experience, but Mark and Chris had more than enough experience to make up for that. If you’re looking at multiple charters out of Key Largo and still on the fence, just book with Mahi Mania, you won’t regret it.

We were able to get a last min private charter fishing trip with Mahi Mania and it was probably the best one in Key Largo.  First off the boat is a good size and has a covered area to keep you out of the sun. There is also a private working, clean toilet which is a big must have for the ladies. Capt Mark and his first-mate Chris were professional and had us hooking fish from the start while get bait fish for the trip.  We caught we a variety of 6-7 different types of fish. It was trip to remember and I will be back to use them again.

We had an outstanding trip with Captain Mike and First Mate Chris. Mike and Chris were very accommodating, explaining safety equipment, how to reel in the fish and get them in the boat. Mike and Chris worked very hard to find the fish and create a wonderful day on the water. I will definitely charter with them again!
