For our last fully day in Paradise Island, I booked a 4-hour private charter with Captain Ted which included fishing, snorkeling with the sea turtles, and trip to Rose Island. First and foremost, Captain Ted and his crew are extremely professional, trustworthy, and highly communicative which I greatly appreciated. Leading up to the trio the crew checked in with me, promptly answered my questions, and were super helpful with providing updates and information.

As I was staying at the Atlantis, Captain Ted generously picked us up at the Margaritaville dock which was an easy walk through Marina Village.

Once aboard, Captain Ted gave us a really interesting history lesson about the Bahamas and what we were passing. Our first part of our trip was focused on fishing. Captain Ted was extremely gracious, patient and knowledgeable about spots to fish at. The first 2 we were not successful but he didn’t waste time. He quickly found us a third spot where we were able to catch quite a few fish if different varieties. The whole time Captain Ted entertained us with stories about culture and traditions and just general information about the island which was enjoyable as we passed the time fishing.

What I also appreciated was that he allowed us extra time to fish, and balanced that out with our snorkeling excursions.

All in all I highly recommend Captain Tes if you’re looking for a fun and relaxing private charter. The boat was impeccably clean and well maintained. Captain Ted went above and beyond to make sure we were safe throughout our trip and had the best time!

Capitan Ted was very professional and knowledgeable. Very patient with kids and teens as he would teach them a new fishing technique- the Bahamina style fishing. The kids had tons of fun and caught us dinner. We took the fish to the poop deck and had a cook for dinner. It was delicious. Capitan T was very flexible and allowed us time to snorkel and see turtles.
We have done fishing on the Capri, Miami, St John and this maybe the best experience yet!

I had a fantastic time with Captain Ted. I booked Te’vaughn for a 4-hour solo fishing trip. We started at 1:30, and the crew made sure I got my full-time’s worth!

He took great care to make sure we found the right spots. The sea was choppy, but he knew some good bay-side spots for us to fish. The boat was clean and orderly, and Ted and his mate were super kind and fun. Captain Ted was educational and showed us some unique islands and shared some of the history of the Bahamas. He even showed me how time line fish, Bahamian style! It was a great trip, and Captain Ted was super generous and hospitable. Highly recommend their charter!

We swam with a dozen sea turtles and picnicked at a secluded white san beach on Rose Island with the bluest water. The highlight if our excursion was snorkeling with thousands of fish in a beautiful reef while Captain Red watched our for my family. This was a memory my children will have forever. My buddy and I were looking for a unique and high quality Bahamian fishing expedition, and that is exactly what we found with Captain Ted and Te’vaughn charters. Ted was incredibly charismatic and made it clear (both by his words and his undying efforts to make sure we left satisfied) that he truly cared about making our time on the water as enjoyable as possible.

As for the the fishing, I couldn’t ask for more! Ted led by teaching us the Bahamian method of hand line fishing which proved to both be effective and arguably more enjoyable than traditional rod and reel (which was also available). The fish that we caught were beautiful and ultimately, quite tasty. He even offered to clean them for us as well as take us to a restaurant where they would prepare our catch. In the end, we politely declined in favor of continuing to fish.

Overall, we had a great time and will highly recommend Te’vaughn Charters and Captain Ted to anyone looking for an enjoyable fishing experience in Nassau.
