GBR Sport Fishing Charters Cairns

Cairns Marlin Marina
Cairns QL, Australia

GBR Sportfishing Charters offers an array of exciting trips to suit any taste on and around the Great Barrier Reef. Known the world over for its immense size and incredible beauty, the Great Barrier Reef is one of the most diverse and bountiful places to fish anywhere on the continent, and Cairns, where you will be launching from, is famous for the amazing selection of species you can find nearby, particularly the giant Black Marlin which migrate past every year

The vessel you will be fishing aboard is a 31 ft Powercat with room aboard for up to 7 anglers and a cruising speed of 25 knots. She comes equipped with state-of-the-art Raymarine electronics, a full battery of outriggers, downriggers and centerriggers, and masses of fish storage space, with twin 80 litre live bait tanks, and a 220 litre Infloor kill tank.

GBR Sportfishing uses tournament grade Shimano tackle, with a variety of options depending on the species you are targeting. Whether you’re popping for GTs, trolling for Marlin and Tuna, or simply hitting the reef with live bait to pull in some delicious Coral Trout or Snapper, you will be using nothing but the best gear and freshest bait to make sure you catch the very best fish out there!

All GBR Sportfishing charters come with bait, lunch and licences, as well as a cleaning and filleting service for anything you want to take home at the end of the day.
